2026 <br />SPECIAL MEETING OF OCTOBER 28, 1963 <br />The special m®eting xas called to order at 8s00 P.M. ~3.f~s the follc~ing members <br />being present: Mayor Harold Nilsen, Clerk ~'. A. Mortenson, True tees George <br />Shavor, Charles Stone, and Willis ~Ifarkentien. Also prresent were Engineer Brad <br />Lemberg, Attorney Mike Galvin, Treasurer William Olsen, and Deputy Clerk Tina <br />Davoulis. <br />Lindig Street Grading :Prior to the opening of bids, Clerk Mortens m read the <br />advertisement for bids as published in the Construction <br />Opening of Bids: Bu7.l.etin and the North Suburban Newspapers. <br />Mayor Nilsen introduced the folloAing resolution and moved <br />its adoptions <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVIlVG BIDS AND REFEARIlJG TFILlId TO <br />ENGINEER FOR TABULATION AND REPORT TO ZfiE <br />VILLAGE COUNCIL AT THE REGULARLY SCHEDULED <br />COUNCIL MEETING NOVEMBER 13, 1963 <br />Pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the can- <br />struction of Lindig Street from the north line of Larpenteur <br />Avenue to a point 128 fast north of said line day providing <br />a driving surface 30 feet wide and improve the same by <br />grading and base construction which shall include stripping <br />top soil from excavation area, excavating the proposed road <br />way to the width and elevations shown on the plan, shaping <br />the boulevards, cutting in the drainage ditch required in <br />the drainage easement and placing and compacting the gravel <br />base, bids were received and opened according to law, and <br />the follo:ring bids were received: <br />1. J. R. Walker and Sons ~ 7,005.00 <br />2. LaValle Construction Co. l~,320.00 <br />and WHEREAS, it is necessary to refer the bids for revieR <br />and: tabulation to the Village Consulting Engineer for report <br />to the Council at the next regularly scheduled Village <br />Council meeting November 13, 1963, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council <br />of the Village of Falcon Heights, Minnesota: <br />1. Said bids are hereby referred to the Village <br />Consulting Engineer far review and tabulation. <br />2. The Village Consulting Engineer is directed to <br />report to the Village Council of the Village of Falcon Heights <br />at its next regularly scheduled meeting November 13, 1963, <br />with the report of tabulation of the bids. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution <br />was duly seconded by member Shavor and upon a vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereofs Nilsen, <br />Mortenson, Warkentien, Shavor, atx3 Stone. <br />and the folloaring voted against the same: None. <br />
