2095 <br />REGULAR MEETING OF APRIL 8, 1964 <br />Meeting was called to order at ?s00 P.M. with the following members present: <br />Mayor Harold Nilsen; Clerk W. A. Mortenson; Trustees Willis Warkentisn, <br />Charles Stone, and William Black. Also present ware Treasurer William Olsen, <br />Attorney Michael Galvin, Jr., and Deputy Clerk Tina Vavoulis. <br />Mrs. Robert Lucas of the League of Wow Voters was present. <br />Stone moved, seconded by Mortenson that the minutes of tie meeting of March 25th <br />be approved as corrected. Carried. <br />Correspondence: Vincent Bailey has contacted the 9311age Clerk <br />regarding the Spic and Span Area Plan, which is a <br />Spic and Span Area Flan plan comprised. of a group of civic-minded citizens, <br />tinder the guidance of the St. Paul Area Chamber of <br />Commerce Area Relations Committee banded together to <br />do what they can to fight litter and spruce up areas. <br />This group will. meet with Roseville and also the <br />Rams®y Cot~ty League of Municipalities, and would <br />like to have Falcon Heights included. <br />N.W. Bell Telephone Applications by N.W. Bell Telephone Company to placs <br />Installation of Buried additional buried cable in alley north of Hoyt <br />Cables: Avenue east of Pascal, and also buried telephone <br />cable on Sne]ling Avenue east service drive wer® <br />presented to the Council for approval. Ni]s sn moved, <br />Warkentien seconded that the two applications be <br />approved sub3ect to the satisfactory replacement <br />of the street and alley, and re-starfacing of same <br />and subject to the approval after inspection of the <br />Village Engineer. Motion was carried. <br />Surer Trouble - Mr. A, E. Fry was present to issue complaint that <br />1457 Iowa Avenues his suer has stopped up again, The trouble a year <br />ago was-from a broken tile, which was replaced. He <br />also reported that 1E~56 Ian:a and 1l~7.3 Iowa have had <br />trouble also. <br />Tree Trimmers: <br />Mrs: Wm. F. Ryan ~drs. Ryan stated that on February 18, 196t~, her boulevard <br />11156 W. Ions trees were triumed at a cost of ~45.0o to her, She <br />Complaints stated that L. McCrrenr of C3eneral Tree Service (sub- <br />contracted by Harlonr Huber of Northland Tree Service) <br />advised her the tiro boulevard trees ware not in the <br />contract for triBaning and that they would not be done <br />for another three years, and he also stated that they <br />were in such poor shape they xould probably not last <br />three years if not trinmted at this time. He claimed <br />he had called the village Office and obtained the <br />above information. Discussion was held and it ~+ras tl~ <br />opinion of the Cotancil members that payment for truing <br />trees on contract dated March 12 be held in abeyance <br />until such tiros as Harlo~r Huber attends the next <br />cotuicil meeting. (The two above-mentioned txees were <br />included with contract approved by the Council at <br />meeting of February 12, 196l~, } <br /> <br />1 <br />1 <br />Cdr. Fry of X57 Iowa stated his tree wa.s not trimmed <br />properly and. shotil.d not be approved. <br />
