2101 <br />REGULAR MEETING OF APRIL 22, 19bi~ <br />The meeting was called. to order at 7:00 P.M. ~r3.th the following members :being <br />present: Harold Nilsen, Mayor; W. A, Mortensen, Clerk; Trustees Willis <br />Warkentien, Charles Stone, and William Black. Also present were Treasurer <br />William E. Olsen, Engineer Bradford Lemberg, and Deputy Clerk Tina Vavoulis. <br />Representing the League of Women Voters was Mrs. Frank Skog. <br />On motion by Warkentien, seconded. by Black, the minutes of the meeting of April <br />8th were approved. Motion carried. <br />Correspondence: <br />Interim Tax Study Notice of Public Hearing commencing at 9130 A.M. <br />Commission of 19b3-6~. Thursday, April 23 4ras read, County and city <br />Public Hearing: officials are invited to attend as witazesses or <br />observers, Trustee Stone stated he would be i.n <br />attendance at this hearing all day. <br />Annual Conference - Nilsen moved that William Carroll, Weed Inspector of <br />Weed Inspectors: the Village, be requested to attend meeting called by <br />Department of Agriculture. This is the Annual Plant <br />Industry Conference for Ramsey County and is scheduled <br />for 7 s 30 P. M, Thursday, April 30, 196t~. The motion <br />was duly seconded by Warkentien and carried. <br />Plumbing Inspector Winfield West, by letter, informed the Council that he <br />West sends Resignations could no longer give the necessary service required by <br /> the Village of Falcon Heights inasmuch as he is nc:rr <br /> Plumbing Inspector for the Village of Mahtomedi. It <br /> was moved by Stone, seconded by Warkentien to accept <br /> the resignation regretfully, Upon a vo to being taken, <br /> the motion eras carried. <br />Naar Plumbing Inspector ~. Ers~n Spandau whose residea~ce is lObS West California <br />Appointeds Avenue, St. Paul eras present at the request of the Council. <br /> Mayor Nilsen moved the ointment of Mr. Spandau as <br /> Plumbing Inspector for the remainder of theyear to fill <br /> the vacancy created by the above resignation. Black <br /> seconded the motion, and upon a vote being taken the <br /> motion was carried. Mayor Nilsen called for bids that may not <br /> have been submitted, Clerk Mortensen advised the proper <br /> legal notices had been published in the Suburban Life <br /> Ne~rspaper and the Construction Bulletin, <br />
