2319 <br />NCJ~T, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE <br />COUNCIL OF FALCON HEI(~iTS, MINNESOTA <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized <br />and directed to enter into a contract with Walsh Tree <br />Service in the name of the Village of Falcon Heights <br />for trimming and pruning of trees according to the plans <br />and specifications therefor approved. by the Village <br />Council and on file in the office of the Village Clerk. <br />2. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed <br />to return forthwith to all bidders and deposits made with <br />their bids, except that the deposits of the successful <br />bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until <br />a contract has been signed. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Strandquist <br />and upon a vote being taken, the following voted in favor: <br />Nilsen, Strandqui.st, Warkentien, Stone and Black and the <br />following voted against same: None. Whereupon resolution <br />was adopted by the Village Council this 2t~th day of <br />November 1965. <br />Dead End Sign - Mr.R. W. Wolfgram was present to request that an <br />Southwest Corner additional 'Dead End Street' sign be placed at a slant <br />Iowa and Arona: on the southwest corner of Iowa and Arona. The present <br /> one should also be slanted to make it more noticeable. <br /> Maintenance Department was instructed to order above sign <br /> and to place same. <br />Engineer's Report: Lemberg recommended that the counei7. consider adoption <br /> of the Uniform Building Code. Build ing Inspector <br />Uniform Building Magnuson and Consulting Engineer Lemberg will review <br />Code: same and report back to the Council. <br />Main Seger Line in Tt appears that there is an obstruction in the main sewer <br />Street at 1157 West line in the street at 1l~57 Iowa. Wally Hermes of Rosetown <br />Iowa: Sanitation Company has been contacted to dig to the sewer <br /> line at this location in an effort to determine what is <br /> causing obstruction. <br />Junior Colleges State Representative Leslie Westin's letter of November <br />19th stated there will be a meeting on December 8 regarding <br />additional Junior Colleges in the s fate. <br />Bills: Strandquist moved, seconded by Black that the following <br />bills be paid: Carried. <br />Salaries -last 1/2 of November incl.
