2325 <br />President of ~'olka Dot Dairy, Hastings, Minnesota <br />advising him of the action taken at this council <br />meeting. <br />Mr. Donald Shannon of 1890 Tatum Street was an interested <br />observer to the above matter. Police Commissioner Donald <br />Arndt was also present. <br />Purchase oP New Warkentien moved that Police Commissioner Arndt and <br />Squad Cars Attorney Galvin be authorized to prepare specifications <br />for purchase of new aquad car. The Clerk shall cause <br />to be inserted in the official newspaper an advertisement <br />for bids upon the purchase of such squad car with alter- <br />nate bids, that is, bids with a trade-in on the present <br />ear and bids with no trade-in. The advertisement shall <br />be published for one successive week, shall state that the <br />bids shall be opened by the Village Council on February 23 <br />in the Village Council chambers and that no bids will be <br />considered unless sealed and filed with the Village Clerk. <br />The motion was seconded. by Black and upon a vote, the <br />following voted for same: Nilsen, Strandquist, Stone, <br />Black and Warkentien and the following voted against same: <br />None. Whereupon motion was carried. <br />Republicans Precinct Stone moved, seconded by Warkentien that permission be <br />Caucus Meetings granted the Republicans for use of the Village Hall, Office, <br />and also Police Department Office for Tuesday evening, <br />February 15, 1966. Ayes: A11. Nays: None, Motion was <br />carried. <br />Form of bond - Nilsen moved, seconded by Black that the form of bond <br />Justice of the Peace, submitted by Paul L. Coppini, Justice of the Peace, be <br />Coppinis approved, Motion carried. The Clerk shall file bond with <br />the Clerk of District Court with copy to the Secretary of <br />State. <br />Investments: Stone moved, seconded by Warkentien that the Village <br />Treasurer be authorized to invest in U. S, Treasury Bi11s <br />from accounts as follows: <br />General Fund - dater Connection Fund $9,528.82 <br />yield 4.66 due December 31, 1966 <br />Larpenteur Ave. W~M & Pumping Station 1,930.69 <br />yield 4.57 due September 30, 1966 <br />WaterMain Improvement of 1960 5,814.92 <br />yield 4.57 due October 31, 1966 <br />Upon a vote being taken, the following voted in favor of <br />same: Nilsen, Strandquist, Stone, Warkentien and Black; and <br />the following voted against same: None. Whereupon motion <br />was declared duly carried. <br />Engineer's Reports Engineer Lemberg advised he had attended a meeting of Ramsey <br />County League of Municipalities held at North Oaks.
