Stone moved, seconded by Warkentien <br /> that Council grant authorization to register three men, <br /> namely, B. Slams, H. Nelson and A. Helbig, at the Minnesota <br />University of State Fire School at the University of Minnesota <br />Minnesota from the 25th of April through the 28th of April. Also <br />Fire School that Council grant au:bhoris:ation for three additional men <br /> .from Volunteer Fire Department to attend one day each at a <br /> cost not to exceed ~.5.0o each. The former three m®n are <br /> each allcmed ~i5 per day allowance for attending the school. <br /> Ayess All. Nayss None. Carried. <br />Fire Departments Helbig advised that Volunteer Jerry Renchin would like t0 <br /> demonstrate radio equipment to the Fire Department and the <br /> Council, <br />Purchase of Stone moved, seconded by Black that in accordance with the <br />self-contained provisions of the 1966 budget, the Village Council authorize <br />air masks the purchase of one self-contained air mask at a cost of <br />approximately ~3C0. In accordant 1rl.th agrees®at, the <br />fire department shall purchase with its own funds an <br />identical mask. ~~~ All. Nayss None. ~[otion was carried, <br /> <br />1 <br />Request for Dog Mrs, Priscilla Nelson and daughter, Julie, were present to <br />Kennel Livenses request consideration with regard to establishing a dog <br /> kennel and obtaining license or permit to carry on such <br /> operations at 1627 Hollywood Court. After discussion and <br /> review of village ordinances, council advised that no <br /> such license or permit could legally be issued. <br />Recreation: Representing the North Suburban Lior~ Club were Art Damon, <br />North Suburban President, Nick Labalestra, John McDonough, Flogd MAtthey, <br />Lions Club and Roy Wollum. Mr. Damon presented second axmual check <br />Donations in tdie amount of ~2f3U to the Village of Falcon Heights for <br /> use in the Recreation Department. <br />West Falcon Woods Warkentien moved, seconded by Stone that the West Falcon <br />Playground Assoc. Woods Playground Association be authorized to purchase <br />Purchase of approximately 30o feet of chain link fence for <br />chain link installation along foul line of the baseball field <br />fences at a cost not to exceed ~3C0. Further moved that the <br /> donation from the North Suburban Lione Club of X240 be <br /> used toward this purchase. Ayess A11. Nays: None. <br /> Motion was carried. When fence has been installed, the <br /> Lione Club shall be notified in order that metal plaque <br /> denoting that this organization has made donation tcwrard <br /> purchase of same, may be placed on fens®. <br />Resurface and Warkentien moved, Stone seconded that authorization be <br />Extend fermis given.. to the West Falcon Woods Playground Association <br />court areas for purchase of the necessary materials to resurface the <br />tennis court and extend same 15 feet or to ~5' x 50s at <br />a Bost not to exceed X300, Ayess All. Nay~ss None. <br />Motion was carried. <br />Walter's Disposal~t? It was noted that Walter's Disposal has made no attempt <br />to pay bill of ~15.0o for services rendered in extinguishing <br />fire in one of their trucks in December 1965. <br />
