2l~~6 <br />Resolution Prohibiting <br />the Use of Vehicles on <br />Public Walks and Walk- <br />ways within the Village <br />of Falcon Heights: <br />Project (Improvement 65-1) and at such time and <br />place all persons owning property affected by such <br />improvement will be given an opportunity to b® <br />heard with reference to such assessment. • <br />5. Upon completion of the proposed assessment <br />rolls, the Village Clerk is hereby directed to cause <br />notices of said hearings on the proposed assessments <br />to be published once in the official newspapers at least <br />two weeks prior to each hearing and cause mailed notices <br />to be made pursuant to statute. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution <br />was duly seconded by Strandquist and upon a vote being <br />taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Warkentien, Stone, Black .and Strandquist, and the <br />following voted against the same; None. ~fhereupon <br />said resolution was duly declared passed and adopted. <br />B1a ck introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />~JHEREAS, the Village of Falcon Heights has adopted <br />Ordinance No. 77 which prohibits the use of vehicles on <br />public walks, wallanrays and lanes under certain conditions; <br />and WHEREAS, a number of complaints have been <br />received by the Village of Falcon Heights, its officers <br />and agents, concerning the use of the Ruggles Avenue <br />Walkway, which walkway is located beta+Peen Pascal and <br />Holton .Avenues, being approximately twelve feet wide and <br />26s feet in length; and <br />WHEREAS, the complaints deal with the use of motor <br />vehicles and other wheeled vehicles across this walkway <br />and excessive noise and disturbances on this walkway, <br />and said conduct annoys, injures and endangers the safety, <br />heat th, comfort and repose of a number of the public, and <br />~NHFREAS, the Village of Falcon Heights has conducted <br />an investigation and found that in substance these complaints <br />are well founded, <br />NOW, 2HEREFORE, BE IT R:~~SOLVED SI' THE VILLAGE COUNCII, <br />OF THE VILLAGE OF FALCON HEIC~iTS AS FOLL(APS: <br />1) No persons shall ride, propel or move a vehicle <br />upon said Ruggles Avenue Wal kway. <br />2) The Village Engineer is instructed to erect a sign <br />at either end of said walkway worded as followsr <br />W h e e l e d V e h i c l e s P r o h i b`i t e d <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was • <br />seconded by Stone and upon a vote being taken, the following <br />voted in favor of same: Strandquist, ~~arkentien, Stone and <br />Black and the following voted against same: None.
