2t~99 <br /> <br />1 <br />I <br />REGULAR RiEETTNG OF JANUARY 11, 1967 <br />Meeting was called to order at 7s00 P.M. with the. following presents Mayer <br />Nilsen, Clerk Strandquist, Councilmen Warkentien., Stone and Black. .Also <br />present w®re Engineer Lemberg, Attorney Kyle and Treasurer Olsen. <br />Oaths of Office <br />Administereds <br />Law 'Enforcement <br />Services Agreements <br />~ ~~ <br />~~;1 <br />a <br />~. , ~ <br />a~~ <br />I <br />The oaths of office were administered by Mayor Nilsen to <br />Village Clerk Strandquist,~Justice of the Peace Jerome <br />Beardsley and Councilman William Black who were re-elected <br />to their respective offices on ~*ember $, 1966. <br />p~c. <br />Officers Harmer, Smith and Nordeen were present at the <br />request of the council to discuss the proposed agreement <br />for law enforcement services with the Sheriff of Ramsey <br />County. If agreement is adopted by the Council, the <br />offices of the present law~enforeement employees will <br />be abolished. <br />Discussion which was held is made a part of these minutes <br />by reference and is (in part) on file in the files of the <br />Village Clerk. Attorney Kyle explained contents of proposed <br />agreement between the County of Ramsey and the Village of <br />Falcon Heights. <br />Warkentien moved, seconded by Stone that the following <br />resolution adopteds <br />L"JHERt~11S, the Village Council of Falcon Heights deems <br />it necessary to enter into an agreement with. the County <br />of Ramsey for Law Enforcement Services, <br />N~f, gIEREFORE, BE IT RF~OLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />OF FALCON HEI(~iTS t <br />1. The Agreement for Iraw Enforcement 9erviees in <br />form has been, reviewed by the Village Attorney and approved, <br />2. The Clerk and ~Tayor of the Village of Falcon <br />Heights are hereby authorized to execute said agreement <br />on behalf of the Village of Falcon Heights. <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted in favor <br />thereofs Nilsen, Strandquist, Warkentien, Stone and <br />Black and the following voted against; None. 1~Thereupon <br />said resolution was adopted. <br />A fifteen minute recess was call.ed~ after tivhich time Couneil <br />was called to order, <br />Flameburger <br />Restaurant: Upon r®quest of the Council, Robert Forster and Curt <br />Forster were present regarding problems behind the Flar~a- <br />burger Restaurant that cause disturbances. ~Zr. Forster <br />stated they have installed. additional lights and_they have <br />signed complaints against three persons involved in dis- <br />turbances. They have also posted notice that the police <br />department has been authorized to pick up anyone caught <br />
