2507 <br />REGULAR MEETING OF JANUARY 2~, 1967 <br />The regular meeting was called to order at 7s00 P.M. with the following <br />members present: Mayor Nilsen, Clerk Strandquist, Councilmen ti~arkentien, Stone <br />and Black. Also Present was Engineer Lemberg. Absents Treasurer Olsen and <br />Attorney Kyle. <br />Minutes: Black moved, seconded by Stone that minutes of the meeting of <br />December l.t~, 1966 be approved. Motion was carried. <br />Stone moved, seconded by Black that minutes of the meeting of <br />January 11, 1967 be approved. Motion was carried. <br />Corresponde~sce <br />Northern States Letter dated January ~, 1967 from E.V. Bergstrom, Supervisor <br />Power Company: of Municipal Services of NSP enclosed a list of street light <br />conversions made in the Village of Falcon Heights. <br />Minnesota Safety Letters of December 28, 1966 and January 20, 1967 from the <br />Councils Minnesota Safety Council, Inc. were read. <br />Minn. Department Letter of January 23, 1967 from Attorney Kyle enclosed <br />_ ~ of Highways - proposed agreement between the Highway Department and the <br />• Relocation of Village of Falcon Heights. Same pertains to the relocation <br />WaterMain of facilities and the reimbursement of relocation cost s on <br />Facilities on relocation of watermain facilities between Hoyt Avenue <br />and 2100 feet south of TH 69I~. <br />Falcon Heights Letter of January 16, 1967 from Engineer Lemberg transmitted <br />Sanitary Sewer copy of recent letter from the Saint Paul Sewer Department <br />Facilities - concerning the Villages request for information on mainten- <br />Non Village ance of sewers within the village limits that are not awned <br />Greener: or serviced by the village, Two prints of the sewer system <br />in the area were enclosed and are hung in the Village Clerks <br />office for easy reference. <br />• Sewer Trouble Letter from Russell Neff at 17.0 North Albert under date of <br />at 1710 North January 23, 1967 stated he had sewer trouble and Roto Rooter <br />• Alberts cleaned his line. He has been advised that in the spring <br />village will dig to said sewer service to determine if trouble <br />• ~ is in village section or private section. <br />Law Enforcement In view of the fact that on January 23, 1967, the Ramsey County <br />Agreement with Board of Cormnissioners approved the Law Enforcement Agreement <br />Ramsey County with Falcon Heights and Ramsey County Deputy Sheriff Dept., <br />Deputy Sheriff: subject to approval of County Attorney and County Auditor, <br />Warkentien moved, seconded by Stone that said agreement be <br />enforced beginning at 12:01 a. m. February 1, 1967. Clerk <br />shall direct communication to George Weber, Chief Deputy of <br />Ramsey County Sheriff Dept. advising said department of this <br />action. Ayess All. Nays: None. Motion was carried. <br />Separation Pay <br />to Three Police <br />Officers <br />Hospitalization <br />for Three Police <br />Officerss <br />Nilsen moved, seconded by Warkentien that each of the three <br />police officers who will no longer be in the employ of this <br />Village after February 1st, 1967 be paid an amount of separa~a:ax <br />pay which shall be equal to one half months salary. Ayes: <br />All. Nayss None. Motion was carried. <br />Nilsen moved, seconded by Black that the Village pay t he <br />cost of hospitalization insurance for the three police officers <br />through February 1967. Ayess All. Nayss None. Carried. <br />
