2633 <br />REGULAR MEETING OF OCTOBER 26, 1967 <br />The regular meeting was called to order at 7s00 P. M, with the following <br />members presents Mayor Nilsen, Clerk Strandquist, Councilmen Black and <br />Warkentien. Also present were Engineer Lemberg, Attorney Kyle, and <br />Treasurer Olsen. Absents Councilman Stone. <br />Correspondence Letter dated October 2l~, 1967 from E. J. McCubrey, Dist. <br />E.J.McCuFire~ Engineer, Minnesota Dept. of Highways stated in part that <br />District representative would attend meeting of village council as <br />Engineers requested. <br />Pine Tree on Unsigned post card regarding obstruction of view caused <br />Garden and by pine tree on Garden and Pascal was read. <br />Pascal: <br />Oil drums used Unsigned post card regarding oil drums used as burners <br />as burners: without covers was read. <br />Mrs. William E. Letter dated October 13, 1967 from Mrs. William E. Olson <br />Olson - Tap, stated that her family is considering budding a home on <br />Acrobatic and Sheldon Street and wanted clarification of Village Ordin- <br />Baton Teacher: ances with regard to home occupations. She is a teacher <br />of tap dancing, acrobatics and batons. Letter was <br />referred to Zoning Administrator Black. <br />Snow Plowing - Strandquist moved, seconded by Warkentien that Snow <br />Winter Season Plowing Agreement dated October 18, 1967 between James <br />1967-68s Moore and the Village of Falcon Heights be approved and <br />the Mayor be authorized to sign same on behalf of the <br />Village of Falcon Heights. Ayers A11. Nays: None. <br />Motion was carried. <br />Ken Quarn - Ken Quarn, maintenance department, was present to report <br />Maintenance Dept. to council on activities with regard to playgrounds, <br />Reports skating rinks, etc. <br />Resolution Approving Nilsen introduced the following resolution and moved <br />Passage of its adoptions <br />Ordinance No. 81 - <br />Highwayss WHEREAS, the Village Council has held discussions to <br />consider adoption of proposed Ordinance No. 81, and <br />WHEREAS, the attorney for the Village of Falcon Heigh ts. <br />has been consulted in the preparation of proposed <br />Ordinance No. 81, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />Village of Falcon Heights that Ordinance No. 81, An <br />Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. 80 which is an Ordinance <br />Regulating the Use of Highways Within the Village of Falcon <br />Heights Incorporating Provisions of the Minnesota Highway <br />Traffic Regulation Act and the Minnesota Driver's License <br />Act by Reference, Imposing Penalties for the Violation <br />Thereof and Repealing Ordinance No. 72, is hereby approved <br />for passage. <br />
