2633 REGULAR MEETING OF OCTOBER 26, 1967 The regular meeting was called to order at 7s00 P. M, with the following members presents Mayor Nilsen, Clerk Strandquist, Councilmen Black and Warkentien. Also present were Engineer Lemberg, Attorney Kyle, and Treasurer Olsen. Absents Councilman Stone. Correspondence Letter dated October 2l~, 1967 from E. J. McCubrey, Dist. E.J.McCuFire~ Engineer, Minnesota Dept. of Highways stated in part that District representative would attend meeting of village council as Engineers requested. Pine Tree on Unsigned post card regarding obstruction of view caused Garden and by pine tree on Garden and Pascal was read. Pascal: Oil drums used Unsigned post card regarding oil drums used as burners as burners: without covers was read. Mrs. William E. Letter dated October 13, 1967 from Mrs. William E. Olson Olson - Tap, stated that her family is considering budding a home on Acrobatic and Sheldon Street and wanted clarification of Village Ordin- Baton Teacher: ances with regard to home occupations. She is a teacher of tap dancing, acrobatics and batons. Letter was referred to Zoning Administrator Black. Snow Plowing - Strandquist moved, seconded by Warkentien that Snow Winter Season Plowing Agreement dated October 18, 1967 between James 1967-68s Moore and the Village of Falcon Heights be approved and the Mayor be authorized to sign same on behalf of the Village of Falcon Heights. Ayers A11. Nays: None. Motion was carried. Ken Quarn - Ken Quarn, maintenance department, was present to report Maintenance Dept. to council on activities with regard to playgrounds, Reports skating rinks, etc. Resolution Approving Nilsen introduced the following resolution and moved Passage of its adoptions Ordinance No. 81 - Highwayss WHEREAS, the Village Council has held discussions to consider adoption of proposed Ordinance No. 81, and WHEREAS, the attorney for the Village of Falcon Heigh ts. has been consulted in the preparation of proposed Ordinance No. 81, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Falcon Heights that Ordinance No. 81, An Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. 80 which is an Ordinance Regulating the Use of Highways Within the Village of Falcon Heights Incorporating Provisions of the Minnesota Highway Traffic Regulation Act and the Minnesota Driver's License Act by Reference, Imposing Penalties for the Violation Thereof and Repealing Ordinance No. 72, is hereby approved for passage.
