998b <br />Liquor & Stafford King's letter of April 1ltth regarding apportionment <br />Cigarette of State Liquor and Cigarette taxes was read and filed. <br />Tax Returns <br />Fire Dept Letter from Henry J. Dachtera, Secretary of the Falcon Heights <br />Election Fire Department Relief Association, dated May 5th, advising <br />that the men listed below were elected officers for the year <br />May 1st, 1958 to May lst, 1959, was read. <br />G. Nelsons Fire Chief; Vic. Hermes, Assistant Fire Chief; <br />A1. Helbig, Assistant Fire Chief; R. Dowdell, Captain; E. <br />Woehrle, Captain; G. Baden, Lieutenant; and H. Nelson, <br />Lieutenant. <br />Dogs Complaints regarding the dog nuisance were discussed and it <br />seemed to be the consensus of opinion that we should make <br />arrangements for periodic trips by a dog catcher, and it was <br />decided to ask Warkentien to investigate this service and <br />report on it. <br />League of Letter from the League of Minnesota Municipalities., dated <br />Minnesota May 2nd, regarding the ltZtth annual convention to be held in <br />Mun. Minneapolis June 11, 12, and 13th, was read and the clerk was <br />instructed to bring it up again at the next regular meeting. <br />Requisi- It vas moved by Nilsen and seconded by Shavor that Req. #1?~3 <br />tions for 1 typewriter ribbon for Royal Typewriter and 1 dz rolls <br />2~" Adding Machine Tape for the Clerk's Office be approved. <br />Lotion unanimously carried. <br />It Ras moved by Nilsen and seconded by Shavor that the Fire <br />Department's requisition #1!tli. for !t - 50' lengths of cord <br />at $15.00 each be approved. Motion unanimously carried. <br />It was moved by Utecht and seconded by Shavor that in the <br />future all requests for equipment be complete in all details <br />and that any additional-parts required be listed on the original <br />requisition, motion unanimously carried. <br />It was moved by Utecht and seconded by Nilsen that Req. #145 <br />for the clerks office, calling for 1000 snap-out forms at <br />X24.94 a thousand, be ordered from the Holden Printing Co., <br />607 Washington Ave., No., Minneapolis. Motion unanimously <br />carried. <br />Lights There was a discussion regarding the advisability of equipping <br />Emergency Emergency Vehicles with revolving red lights. It was moved by <br />Equip. Shavor and seconded by Coppini that the matter be referred to <br />the Fire and Police Departments for their recommendations. <br />Sinking Attorney Graham advised that he had been informed by l~r. Sander <br />Fund of Juran & Moody, Inc., that the X7,000.00 worth of Vil:t_age of <br />Falcon Heights Sanitary Sewer Bands referred to in his letter <br />of April 22nd were not available at this time. Grahaxt also ad- <br />vised that he suggested to Mr. Sander that if these bonds, or <br />any of the other Falcon Heights bonds, become available, to <br />let him know promptly because he~felt sure the Council will be <br />interested in repurchasing if we have the necessary funds. <br /> <br />1 <br />i <br />
