Shavor, Trustee; Paul <br />Coppini, Trustee; Wm. Utecht, Clerk. Also present xere Frank N. Graham, <br />Village Attorney; Wm. E. Olsen, Treasurer and Ethel E, White, Dep. Clerk <br />and Dep. Treasurer. Absent: Willis Warkentien, Trustee. <br />Minutes of the regular meeting of May 8th x®re approved as submitted. <br />Pumping After discussion, Nilsen coved and Shavor seconded that the <br />Station County Commissioner's letter regarding Pumping Station and <br />and Drain- Ramsey County Drainage Pit be referred tt~ Village Attorney <br />age pit Graham, and Village Engineer L~ungren for further checking <br />and report at the next. meeting. <br />lfater After discussion, it xas moved by Utecht and seconded by <br />Main Shavor that the City of St. Paul be authorized to install <br />Construe- the proposed rater main from Larpentsnr to Hoyt on Aroma <br />tion subject to the street being compacted and restored to its <br />original condition; subject to the approval of the Village <br />Engineer, and that the City assume responsibility for any <br />repairs due to settlement or any repairs due to the rater <br />.main construction for a period of one year -- this xork to <br />include the connecting of the existing mains on California <br />and Ioxa and the installation of a hydrant at the southeast <br />corner of Aroma and Larpenteur and connect the existing mains <br />on Idaho and Hoyt, if possible. Motion unanimously carried. <br />Streets Mrs. E. J. Finger, 1526 Craxford asked if they xere going to <br />finish Cranrford or leave it open for installment of storm <br />surer. She xas told Craxford xas to be resurfaced, and <br />that the contractors: xould start their xork at Craxford <br />about May 15th. <br />Mr. Borchert, 1750 Aroma, said dust xas ao bad they could <br />hardly breathe in the house, and asked if they xere going <br />to install storm surer on Crawford. He xas told they xere <br />not going to put storm sewer on Crar~fard at this time. He <br />askeal about having his boulevard fixed xhere it had been <br />torn up by contractor parking his equipment, and he xas told <br />that it xould be taken care of. <br /> Mrs. Finger asked about dressing boulevards, and she xas <br /> told by Mr. Steffen that the contractors xould remove rocks, <br /> etc., but that it xould be up to the owners to seed and dress. <br /> Tatum Engineer L~ungren reported he had been asked to make a survey <br /> Street of Tatum Street and to establish new grades xhich xould fit <br /> the property as nearly as possible.- He said he understood <br /> the people xere desireous of eliminating the ditch section <br /> and converting this street to a conventional city type section. <br /> At the present time there is a 49.5' right of ray. It appears <br /> it xould be feasible to construct a street xith a 30' driving <br />surface and an approximate 10' boulevard section on each side. <br /> He has investigated drainage and believes a temporary, feasible <br /> means can be found for draining this area. <br /> L~ungren mentioned that the cost of surfacing the street had <br /> been included in the sanitary sewer program and is not cover- <br />
