property. Ljungren feels the plan should be shown to the <br />Planning Board and Mr. Hermes for their opinions. ~Ye have <br />Mr. Gage's assurance that he will hold the two lots at the <br />N. E, corner open until June of 1959. <br />Streets F~hgineer Ljungren has an agreement worked out with Sina calling <br />Falcon for taking up the mat, taking out the base, adding additional <br />~Poods gravel, and remixing the entire surface. They are going to <br />attempt to roll up a little bituminous curb. In other words, <br />repair the whole street from Roselawn to Roselawn. Some of the <br />trouble was caused by Lametti, but Sina will do the work and <br />Lametti will pay Sina for his share of the responsibility. <br />1liey hope to have the work well under way within two weeks, <br />and it will be done without cost to the Village. Regarding <br />drainage on the street, Ljungren said they are going to raise <br />it some and rebuild the drainage ditches. So far they have not <br />been able to get permission from Roseville to put a culvert <br />under Roselawn. At this time Mr. Glide rose and told the Council <br />he wanted to express the appreciation of the people living on the <br />street for all the time and work the Council had put into the <br />matter. <br />Profession- Engineer Ljungren was assured the Council wants him to contact <br />al Playground Bernard Edmond, Playground Architect, for help and advice in <br />Engineer. planning recreational facilities for the Falcon Woods and ad- <br />joining areas to handle the needs of small children and older <br />children interested in ball games, etc. Curtis Larsen was <br />asked for his opinion regarding plans for this matter and he <br />said they sound 0. K. to him, but he thinks we should also <br />keep Mrs. Lindig's property in mind. <br />County It was moved by Utecht, seconded by Shavor and unanimously carried <br />Workers that Mayor Nilsen write Harry Bronson, County Engineer, stating <br />the Village's dissatisfaction with the way work is being done <br />and the reported Basting of time by crews going to breakfast after <br />they have reported for work. <br />Mrs. Mrs. Youngner complained about the condition~of the ditch in <br />Youngner front of her home. She was advised that it is going to be re- <br />1867 graded and reseeded. She also asked what she could do about <br />Lary. two trees which died after the contractor had removed and re- <br />placed them when installing the sewer. She was advised to take <br />the matter to Conciliation Court, St. Paul, <br />Filling. It was moved by Shavor, seconded by Nilsen, and unanimously <br />Sta, voted to approve General Corporate Licenses permitting the <br />Licenses following people to operate Gasoline Filling Stations. <br />#62. Texaco Service Sta, Hamline and Hoyt <br />for the period commencing July 1st 1958 and ending June 30th, 1959. <br />Cigarette It was moved by Shavor, seconded by Nilsen and unanimously <br />Licenses voted to approve licenses permitting the following to sell at <br />Retail Cigarettes, Cigarette Papers and Cigarette Wrappers <br />for the year beginning July 1st, 1958 and ending June 30, 1959; <br />#$7. ~Y.
