1091 <br /> Brady Fence It has been determined that the fence Brady proposed to con- <br /> Variance struct will be entirely within his property line and the <br /> Council therefore has no objection to the completion of this <br />fence. <br /> Law Suit Attorney Graham reported that the Northern States Pawer.: <br /> Company's Suit against Lametti and the Village of Falcon Heights <br /> has been tentatively set for trial November 3rd, 1958. <br /> Snelling Attorney Graham reported that at the suggestion of Steffes, he <br /> Avenue wrote a letter on behalf of the Village to the State of <br /> Binnesota, requesting that they return the ten thousand dollar <br /> deposit since we understand that the sewer and street work on <br /> Snelling Avenue has been approved by the State of Minnesota. <br /> Rees' Attorney Graham advised that he had wri tten a letter to dlr. <br /> Property Rees advising the estimated cost of the proposed improvement <br /> would be $1~,1~00.00, asking that A4r. Rees review the matter and <br /> arrange a meeting so they can discuss it later. <br />Engineer's Ljungren reported Craig has reworked quite a bit of Maple <br />Report Knoll, took clay out at Garden and Arona and will take clay out <br />Streets and of Garden. That is Lametti's expense. Schifsky advised Ljungren <br />Alleys he will use a plant mix on the alley work because of the late- <br />ness of the season. Sine is going to prime the streets in <br />Falcon I~ioods first and then lay a ner~ mat. He is working now. <br /> Parking Lot <br />Falcon Heights Ljungren advised that although there is a minor amount of sand <br />being adddd to lot 18 Barthel Villas, it doesn't appear that <br /> Congregational it will materially affect the drainage for the area. Ljungren <br /> Church. will write a letter to the Council regarding his recommendations <br /> on this project in accordance with plans submitted by Mr. t~urchie, <br /> sending a copy to Rev. Trimble. <br /> Holton St. After discussion, it was moved by d'darkentien, seconded by Coppini <br /> <br />Drainage , <br />and unanimously voted that the ditch on Holton should be cleaned <br /> out and a little spillway built to run the water into the: <br /> ditch as per Ljungren's recommendation. <br /> Falcon 'r`oods Ljungren informed Nick Christensen, Building Inspector, that no <br /> No. 2. building permits are to be issued fc~r Falcon t~roods No. 2 until <br /> the rough grading of streets is done. <br /> Rees' Coppini asked if the drainage ditch in the National Tea Alley <br /> Alley between Larpenteur and Crawford should be filled. Ljungren <br /> recommended that it be cleaned out and left open -- otherwise <br /> there would. be about 8" of water retained. <br /> Hoyt Ave. After discussion, it was recommended that VYarkentien advise Mr. <br /> Curbing Gamriel and Mr. Pugleasa that owing to the additional amount of <br /> expense for engineering services and the cost of bringing the <br /> curbing around the corners to make a finished job, it is the <br /> Council's recommendation that the matter be held over until next <br /> Spring and. then done by petition and on an assessment basis <br /> inasmuch as the one property owner will not voluntarily put in <br /> curb to complete block. <br />
