Attorney Graham discussed the proposed modifications <br /> with Knute Anker of the County Engineer's Office who assured Mr. <br /> Graham that the plans as ,submitted would be modified to provide a <br /> driveway to the parking lotand also to provide a modified median <br /> strip in front of this driveway, as well as in front of the Village <br /> Hall, since the driveway_is used by emergency vehicles. <br />Resolution <br /> <br /> <br />' The adoption of the following resolution was moved Co <br />by ins <br />PP , <br /> seconded by Warkentien and unanimously voted: <br />WHEREAS, plans for Larpenteur Avenue from 282 feet west of Cleve- <br />land Avenue to Snelling Avenue, S.A.P. 62-630-01, showing proposed <br />alignment, profiles, grades, sewers, and cross-sections, together <br />with specifications and special provisions for the improvement <br />of County State. Aid Highway No. 30 within the limits of the Village <br />of Falcon Heights as a State Aid Project have been prepared and <br />presented to the Villages <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED: That said plans be in all things <br />approved. <br />Investment After discussion, the adoption of the following resolution was <br />Sinking moved by Utecht, seconded by Nilsen and unanimously voted: <br />Fund <br />RESOLVED that the Treasurer be authorized to purchase out of funds <br />in the Sanitary Sewer Sinking Fund Account (Approximately X28,000.00) <br />worth of U. S. Treasury Bills maturing January 15th, 1960, through <br />The First National Bank of St. Paul, taking their safe-keeping <br />receipt for the bonds purchased with the understanding that the bonds <br />purchased will be sold in time to apply the proceeds on the January <br />1st, 1960 payment due on the Village of Falcon Heights Sanitary <br />Sewer Bonds and Interest. <br />Investment Letter from E. W. Spring, dated April 21st, was read as follows: <br />Advice E, W. "In his letter to you of April 20th, Mr. Graham suggests that I <br />Spring advise you prior to the April 23rd Council Meeting of ~r reaction <br />to the suggestion for the purchase by the Village of U. S. Treasury <br />Bills maturing January 15th,. 1960 recommended by Mr. B. B. Knopp. <br />I would certainly have no hesitation in concurring in Mr. Knopp~s <br />recommendation and I would also anticipate that if the bills had <br />to be sold during the last week in December, the yield would be <br />ax~proximately in accordance with Mr. Knopp~s estimate.e <br />The Clerk was instructed to write to Mr. Spring, thanking his for <br />his valued advice. <br />Mr. Knopp recommended that the funds in the Sanitary Sewer Sinking <br />Fund be invested in U.
