L~ungren reported he checked the extensions of the two low bids and they appear satisfactory and correct; that, based `on past ex- perience in the Village of Falcon Heights, he would recommend that the bid be awarded to T. A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc., 603 N. W. 2nd St., North St. Paul, Minnesota, as the lowest responsible bidder. It was moved by Coppini, seconded by Warkentien, and unanimously voted that the papers be turned over to Attorney Graham for checking, and if found to be in order, that the bid be awarded to T. A.. Schifsky & Sons, Inc. Fry St. Letter of August 5th, 1959, from Vernon L. L~ungren of Milner W. Water Main Carley & Associates was read: It stateds "As per your request, we Extension have prepared a preliminary plan and have made afield inspection of the proposed extension of watermain on Fry Street from Larpenteur Avenue to Maple Knoll Drive, and wish to recommend as follows 1. That the proposed improvement is feasible. 2. We would estimate-the improvement to cost X36,750.00. 3. That the improvement may be carried out alone and need not be combined with another improvement." After discussion, it was moved by Nilsen, seconded by Warkentien and unanimously voted that the following RESOLUTION be adopted: RESOLUTION: Whereas it is proposed to improve Fry Street from Lar- penteur Avenue to Maple Knoll Drive by extending water mains from Larpenteur Avenue to Maple Knoll Drive and to assess the abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement, pur- suant to Minn. State. x.29.011 to X29.111, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED 3Y THE VII~LACJE COUNCIL OF ZI-IE VILLAGE OF FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTAs (1) The Council will consider the improvement of Fry Street by extending water mains from Larpenteur Avenue to Maple Knoll Drive in accordance with the report of Milner W. Carley & Associates, dated August 5, 1959, stating that the improvement is feasible and can best be caY~ried out as proposed, and the assessment of the abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improve- ment pursuant to Minn. State. l~29.011 to l~29.111 at an estimated total cost of the improvement of X6750.00. A PUBLIC HEARING shall be held on such proposed improvement on Monday, August 2l~th, 1959, in the Council Chambers in the Village Hall at 7:30 P. M. and the Clerk shall give Public Notice of such Hearing and Improvement as required by law. N0. NAT. GAS.
