~.~r~, <br />It was moved by Utecht, seconded by Nilsen and unanimously '`'"'-` ~ <br />voted that the bids be referred to-Engineer L~ungren for checking. <br />L~ungren reported he checked the extensions of the two low bids <br />and they appear satisfactory and correct; that, based `on past ex- <br />perience in the Village of Falcon Heights, he would recommend that <br />the bid be awarded to T. A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc., 603 N. W. 2nd <br />St., North St. Paul, Minnesota, as the lowest responsible bidder. <br />It was moved by Coppini, seconded by Warkentien, and unanimously <br />voted that the papers be turned over to Attorney Graham for checking, <br />and if found to be in order, that the bid be awarded to T. A.. Schifsky <br />& Sons, Inc. <br />Fry St. Letter of August 5th, 1959, from Vernon L. L~ungren of Milner W. <br />Water Main Carley & Associates was read: It stateds "As per your request, we <br />Extension have prepared a preliminary plan and have made afield inspection <br />of the proposed extension of watermain on Fry Street from Larpenteur <br />Avenue to Maple Knoll Drive, and wish to recommend as follows <br />1. That the proposed improvement is feasible. <br />2. We would estimate-the improvement to cost X36,750.00. <br />3. That the improvement may be carried out alone and need not be <br />combined with another improvement." <br />After discussion, it was moved by Nilsen, seconded by Warkentien <br />and unanimously voted that the following RESOLUTION be adopted: <br />RESOLUTION: Whereas it is proposed to improve Fry Street from Lar- <br />penteur Avenue to Maple Knoll Drive by extending water mains from <br />Larpenteur Avenue to Maple Knoll Drive and to assess the abutting <br />property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement, pur- <br />suant to Minn. State. x.29.011 to X29.111, <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED 3Y THE VII~LACJE COUNCIL OF ZI-IE VILLAGE <br />OF FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTAs <br />(1) The Council will consider the improvement of Fry Street by <br />extending water mains from Larpenteur Avenue to Maple Knoll Drive <br />in accordance with the report of Milner W. Carley & Associates, <br />dated August 5, 1959, stating that the improvement is feasible <br />and can best be caY~ried out as proposed, and the assessment of the <br />abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improve- <br />ment pursuant to Minn. State. l~29.011 to l~29.111 at an estimated <br />total cost of the improvement of X6750.00. <br />A PUBLIC HEARING shall be held on such proposed improvement on <br />Monday, August 2l~th, 1959, in the Council Chambers in the Village <br />Hall at 7:30 P. M. and the Clerk shall give Public Notice of such <br />Hearing and Improvement as required by law. <br />N0. NAT. GAS. It was moved by Nilsen, seconded by Shavor and unanimously voted <br />Increase that the Clerk write. J. H. Gutride, Secy., Federal Power Comm., <br />!~lil G St., N. W. Washington, 25, D. C. stating that the Village <br />of Falcon Heights strongly urges that no further rate- increases <br />be granted Northern Natural Gas and respectfully requests that <br />
