SPECIAL MEETING AUGUST 10, 1959.

<br />The Special Meeting of August 10th, 1959, was called to order at 7:10 P. M., the
<br />following Council Members being present: Harold C. Nilsen, Mayor; George Shavor,
<br />Trustee; Willis Warkentien, Trustee and Paul Coppini, Trustee. Also present were
<br />Vern L. Ljungren, Village Engineer and Ethel E. White, Deputy Clerk and Deputy
<br />Treasurer. Absent: Wm. R. Utecht, Clerk and Wm. E. Olsen, Treasurer.
<br />The Minutes of the regular meeting of July 23rd were approved as submitted.
<br />The Minutes of the Special Meeting of August 5th were approved as submitted.
<br />Bids Water Mayor Nilsen read the Advertisement for Bids as published in
<br />Main the Rose Tribune July 30th and August 6th, 1959. Letter of
<br />August 6th from the State of Minnesota Department of Health
<br />was read, also report of august 6th. They did not a~nrove the
<br />Booster Pumping Station. Ljungren advised that they insist
<br />upon the pump being above ground. Nilsen explained that rather
<br />than throw out the bids, we would consider them on the basis of
<br />the low bid for the water main extension and then readvertise for
<br />bids for an-above ground pumping station. He asked the bidders
<br />present if th at would be satisfactory, and they indicated that
<br />it would be satisfactory.

<br />Nilsen moved that the bids be referred to the Village Engineer for
<br />checking and report to the Council at 5:00 P. M., Tuesday, August
<br />11, 1959. Seconded by Shavor and carried unanimously.
<br />Ljungren will contact the State Board of Health in an effort to get
<br />one of their men to come over and. make a Field Inspection August 11th.
<br />Sign Car Wash After discussion, it was moved by Coppini, seconded by Warkentien and
<br />unanimously voted that the application for permit for sign to be
<br />erected on the roof of the car wash building be approved,
<br />Adjournment motion,. the meeting adjourned at 9:30 P. M. Q
