SPECIAL r~2EETING OCTOBER lst, 1959. <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P. n~., the following Council Members being <br />present: Harold G. Nilsen, Mayor; George Shavor, Trustee, Willis V"Tarkentien, <br />Trustee a.nd Paul L. Goppini, Trustee. Also present were Wm. E. Olsen, Treasurer; <br />Nick Christensen, Building Inspector and Ethel E. Pdhite, Deputy Clerk and Deputy <br />Treasurer. Absent: Wm. R. Utecht, Clerk. <br />Contract Carl Nilsen moved that the Village of Falcon Heights enter into an <br />L. Gardner & agreement for professional City Planning Services with Carl L. <br />Assoc. Thor- Gardner and Associates, Thorshov and Cerny, Inc., effective <br />shov Cerny, October let, 1959, in accordance with the terms of the proposal <br />Inc. submitted, and that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute <br />the agreement for the Village. Seconded by Shavor and unanimously <br />carried. <br /> <br />Plumbing A11 requirements having been met, it was moved. by Coppini, seconded <br />License by Shavor and unanimously voted that Master Plumber's License #!t0 <br />be issued to Raymond E. Jastrow, Snelling Plumbing and Heating Co., <br />712 No. Snelling Avenue, St. Paul, It, P~4innesota. <br />Spraying Coppini read letter from Fournier Tree Service. It stated 80~ <br />Trees of .the trees in Falcon Heights were infected with scale. Four= <br />pier suggested spraying when dormant at a cost of approximately <br />X1700.00. Coppini will contact the University of ?,;Sinnesota and <br />ask their recommendations. <br />Signs It was moved by Shavor, seconded by Nilsen and unanimously voted <br />±hat the Building Inspector be authorized to issue permit for the <br />sign at the Falcon Laundry. <br />It was moved by Shavor, seconded by Nilsen and unanimously voted <br />that the Building Inspector be authorized to issue permit for the <br />sign to be erected across the front of the Robert Hall Building. <br />It was moved. by Coppini, seconded by Shavor and unanimously <br />voted that the Building Inspector be authorized to issue permits <br />for the two signs requested by Art Lindig, one to be flat against <br />the building and the other on legs. <br />Budget The budget was discussed at length but not completed. <br />Special A Special Budget T.Reeting was set for 8 P.
