1383 <br />Shavor You got by for many years with a grass walk. Pdaybe it wouldn't <br />have to be a hard walk. <br />P~Rrs. ? We usually cut across the drainage lot so it means we would have <br />to go all the way to Garden if the walk were closed. <br />K3elland The school would prefer as many people as possible to come in <br />the back door because they have a bad traffic situation in front <br />with the buses and cars unloading. <br />Nilsen Yee understood the School Principal wanted the children to come <br />in the front door. <br />K~elland I 3ust talked with him last night and that is what he told me. <br />T. Barron A,s I understand it, this gentleman is complaining about the <br />children usin e his property. Is there any remedy that would keep <br />the children off his lawn? <br />iM1featherston jute have a lot of school activities, but in a month or two most <br /> of the activity will be a± the playground and I think it would <br /> be a shame to close off the only access for the people and <br /> children Y~est of Pascal and force them to go to Garden or Roselawn. <br /> The people certainly knew when they bought their property that <br /> there was an easement there. <br />Geisen I would like to leave the lane as it is. If they put a culvert <br /> and a walkway there, I would not have to worry about backing out <br /> of my driveway, I would not want to see the children stopped <br /> from going through. <br />Y~eatherston I am in favor of putting a culvert-...there. <br />Shavor What if there is a demand for an actual sidewalk? <br />Weatherston As far as I am concerned, the grass serves the purpose, but there <br /> is an advantage to getting that ditch out of there. Safety wise, <br /> I think it would be adequate. If grass is acceptable, it certainly <br /> would be acceptable as far as I am concerned. <br />Nilsen If you put in culverts and level it off, you invite the youngster <br /> on the scooter and the young fellow on the motor cycle or even the <br /> hot-rodder to go through. We don't want to make it easy for them. <br />L~ungren A couple posts placed far enough apart to permit walking but not <br /> driving through should take care of that. <br /> Utecht moved that the petition of Harold Imhoff and others be <br /> refused and that the Village Engineer be instructed to arrange <br /> for the construction of a suitable head-on walkway with posts to <br /> prevent any vehicles from going through. <br />Nilsen I would like to continue this hearing and discuss the matter <br />further with the planners. <br />Utecht I have no objections <br />Shavor I don't feel we should give away Village property unless we are <br /> sure we won't have any use for it. I don't see any need for a <br />
