SPECIAL :~^.EETING !t/12/60 <br />1397 <br />The Special Meeting was called to order at 7 P. M., the following Council Members <br />being presents Harold. C. Nilsen, Mayor; George J. Shavor, Trustee; Paul Coppini, <br />Trustee; Willis Warkentien, Trustee and L~tm. R. Utecht, Clerk. Also present were <br />Frank N. Graham, Village Attorney, Wm. E. Olsen, Treasurer and Ethel E. Vdhite, Dep- <br />uty Clerk and Deputy Treasurer. <br />Minutes of the regular meeting of March 2ltth were approved as submitted. <br />Minutes of the special meeting of ~,iarch 31st were approved as submitted. <br />Weeds: Utecht moved that Falcon Heights pay their proportionate share of <br />the cost of weed notice publications for the year 1960. Seconded <br />by Nilsen and carried. <br />State Aid Utecht moved that Otto Bonestroo, Village Engineer and Ethel E. <br />System White, Deputy Clerk, attend meeting scheduled in Conference Room <br /> 510, Wednesday, April 20th, 1960 at 9 A. M. in the Department of <br /> Highways Central Office, St. Paul, for municipal engineers and <br /> managers of all municipalities that are expected to be over 5000 <br /> population in the 1960 census. The purpose of this meeting is to <br /> explain laws, rules and regulations for setting up the Municipal <br /> State Aid Systemm within coT*-munities of over 5,000. Seconded by <br /> Coppini and carried. <br />Snelling Graham's letters of April 1st and 5th and the preliminary draft <br />Idaho of the proposed agreement with the State of Minnesota relating to <br />Drainage the Snelling Idaho Drainage Area were read and discussed. Attorney <br />Axea Graham will revise preliminary draft of agreement with recommended <br /> changes and resubmit for approval. <br />WFH play- better of March 31st from Curtis L. Larson, past chairman, W. F. H. <br />ground Playground was read. Letter listed new officers as followss <br /> Chairman, C. A~. (Larry) Stowe, 1954 Autumn. <br /> Vice Chairman, Edward Graham, 1981 Summer. <br /> Secretary, Mrs. Richard C. Newman, 1958 Summer. <br /> Treasurer, Gordon Martin, 1765 Fairview. <br /> Utecht moved that Curtis Larson be replaced as Chairman of the West <br /> Falcon Heights Playground Association by C. M. {Larry) Stowe. <br /> Seconded by Nilsen and carried. <br />Idaho play- Utecht reported that Rechtiene, Chairman of the Village Recreation <br />ground Committee, wants to put up a temporary back stop in the S. E. corner <br /> of the Idaho-Selling playground, and moved that Rechtiene be given <br /> an order for necessary materials. Seconded by Warkentien and carried. <br />Office Utecht moved approval of the Clerks order for manilla second. sheets, <br />Supplies onion skin paper, gem clips and file folders. Seconded by Coppini <br /> and carried. <br />Fire Dept. <br />requisition Nilsen moved approval of the Fire Department's requisition for a lawn <br />rake with flexible steel fi <br />S <br /> ngers. <br />econded by Utecht and. carried. <br />Traffic Letter of April 7th from E. C. ?3ather and Associates was read, dis- <br />Engineering cussed and filed for future reference. <br />
