Since that time, we have installed the watermain
on Larnenteur ti',est almost to Cleveland. j''~e have been riven permission
to extend water Hart way uA Tatum, Fairview and Fry Streets.
Ut~e were recently alerted to the drop in the water level, and the
number of wells which have gone dry, and the great number expected
to dry up in the ",2etropolitan area this year and in the near future.
Vr'e planned a Hearing on June 29th, but the situation became more
critical in our own Village so we set the Hearing for tonight.
ti"de recently had a petition from almost 100 of the people on Pascal
from Ruggles to Roselawn requesting that watermain be run along their
street.
One of the problems vre have to lace is the problem of water.
Statistics point out that 6It/ of the population in this P~etropolitan
Area is served by ",ginneavolis or St. Paul. Zt is becoming increasingly
difficult. 1'~e felt it was our duty to bring this matter to your
a++.,ention and. that is why we called the meeting for tonight.
Utecht Normally, we do not proceed on the basis we are proceeding on
tonight. Vde started out with a petition for one street, but when
we found out how much well trouble there was in the Village, we
started the`proceedings to cover the area as listed in the
notices published, Hosted and. mailed to about 100 homes. 4Ye can
