<br /> Meeting was called to order at 7 P. M., the following Council Members being presents
<br /> Harold C. Nilsen, Mayor; George Shavor, Trustee; Wm. R. Utecht, Clerk. Also present
<br /> were Frank N. Graham, Village Attorney; Wm. E. Olsen, Treasurer; Otto Bonestroo,
<br /> Engineer; and Ethel E. White, Deputy Clerk and Deputy Treasurer. Absent: Paul
<br /> Coppini, Trustee and Willis Warkentien, Trustee.
<br />The Minutes of the Special rdeeting of July 13th were approved as submitted.
<br />The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 1ltth were approved as submitted.
<br />The r~4inutes of the Regular Meeting of June 15th were approved as submitted.
<br />Variance, After discussion, Utecht moved that James H. Burtness, 19lt1 Summer
<br />Fence Street, be granted a variance to permit him to erect a 5~ 10"
<br />redwood, board on board fence at the rear of his property.
<br />Seconded by Shavor and carried.
<br />After discussion, it was decided to delay the decision on the re-
<br />quest of W. Tennyson, 1935 Summer, fora variance to erect a sim-
<br />ilar fence on his property, in view of a neighbor's objection,
<br />until the Council could review the matter.
<br />Licenses All requirements having been met, the following licenses were
<br />issueds
<br />Sewer Installer's License #37 to M. F. Rivard, Rivard Plbg. &
<br />Heating, 3575 White Bear Ave., White Bear Lake, 10, Minnesota,
<br />moved by Utecht, seconded by Shavor and carried.
<br />Master Plumber's License #52 to Wm. L. Neihart, %. L. Neihart
<br />Plumbing & Heating Co., 2097 Como Ave., St. Paul, 8, Minnesota,
<br />moved by Nilsen, seconded by Utecht and carried.
<br />Master Plumber's License #51 to M. F. Rivard, Rivard Prig. ~
<br />Heating Co., 3575 White Bear Ave., White Bear Lake, 10, i~Rinnesota
<br />moved by Utecht, seconded by Shavor and carried.
<br />Master Gas Installer's License to Frank J. Hall, Hall Heating,
<br />1167 Rice Street, St. Paul, Minnesota, moved by Utecht, seconded
<br />by Shavor and carried.
<br />Filling Station License #85 to Leonard R. Kraske, Cities Service
<br />Filling Station, 1670 No. Snelling Avenue, St. Paul, Minn. moved
<br />by Shavor, seconded by Nilsen and carried.
<br />Watermain Nilsen moved the following resolution: RESOLVED that the City of
<br />Improvement St. Paul be authorized to make water service connections to the
<br />1960 No. 1. property lines at locations to be designated by the Village
<br />En ineer for Watermain Im roveme
<br />g p nt i960, No. 1, and that the Village
<br />pay the City of St. Paul for these water:-service connections and
<br />include the cost in the assessments; the restoration of the streets
<br />to be done in accordance with village standards subject to the
<br />approval of the Village Engineer and that the Deputy Clerk be author-
<br />ized to send a certified copy of this resolution to the St. Paul
<br />Water Department, attention Mr. Hamblin. Seconded by Shavor and
<br />carried.
