1185 Variance Letter of July 28th from James H. Burtness, 19l~1 Summper St., requesting a variance with respect to a fence which he proposes to . erect at the rear of his property at 19lt7. Summer Street was presented to the Council and considered. After discussion, Utecht moved adoption ,~ of the following resolutions RESOLVED that the request of James H. Burtness, for a variance under ordinance 17 to permit him to erect a 5' 10"" Redwood Fence at the rear of 19l~1 Summer Street is hereby granted; the Council specifically finding that the granting of such variation will not materially affect adversely Healthy Safety o~ General Welfare or Public or Private Property. Seconded by Shavor and unanimously carried. Messrs. 1~. W. Tennyson & Richard Thorp submitted a written. request for a variance to permit them to build a 5' 10"" Redwood fence as per sketch submitted at their homes at 1935 and 1929 Summer Street. Mr. S. E. Anderson, 1930 Autumn St., presented his objections. After discussion, it was suggested that these gentlemen get together and try to reach an amicable compromise, presenting their findings to the Council at it's next meeting, August 25th. Letter of August 9th from F. W. Mayer, Jr., 196 Autumn St., requesting a variance with respect to a fence which he proposes to erect at the rear of his property at 196 Autumn, was read. Fence proposed will be 100' long the south, 33' along the west and 20' along the east. RESOLVED, that the request of F. W. Mayer, Jr., for a variance under Ordinance 17 to permit him to erect a woven redwood fence, as per sketch submitted, on his property at 196 Autumn Street is hereby granted; the Council specifically finding that the granting of such variation will not materially affect ad ersel t a~r General Welfare or Public or Private Pro er y. ~o~ ilsen and unanimously carried.
