1511 <br />the Clerk, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF <br />FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNF~SOTA: <br />1. A Hearing shall be held on the 17th day of October, 1960, <br />in the Village Hall at 7:30 P. M. to pass upon such proposed <br />assessment and at such time and place all persons owning <br />property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity <br />to be heard with reference to such assessment. <br />2. The Village Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice <br />of the Hearing on the proposed assessment to be published <br />in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the <br />Hearing and he shall state in the notice the total cost of the <br />improvement. <br />3. The Village Clerk is hereby directed to mail a notice of <br />the Hearing on the proposed assessment to each record owner of <br />the premises assessed at least a week prior to the set Hearing. <br />Trailer Home The Deputy Clerk was instructed to ask Don Arndt, Police Chief, <br />to have someone interview the residents of the trailer at 1750 <br />W. Larpenteur and ask how long they have lived there, where <br />they get their water and what disposition they make of wash <br />water, etc. Also to inform them that living in a trailer without <br />a permit is a violation of Ordinance No. 3, Sections 5-27. <br />Streets: Mayor Nilsen advised that Mr. Gage of Falcon Woods No. 2 tele- <br />Falcon Woods phoned him and said that Carley Engineering had approved grades <br />No. 2. as laid out, and that the people who have the high driveway are <br />well satisfied with it. 1x4ayor Nilsen asked Gage for a letter <br />from resident confirming his satisfaction with the grade of the <br />driveway as it now is. <br />Streets dis- Brad Lemberg advised that Armor Coat Company will probably correct <br />turbed by Water- the drainage on Albert Street as soon as they finish the sweeping. <br />main Improvement We added 12 hydrants in connection with Watermain Improvement <br />1960 #l, and 1960, No. 1. He will see if he can get a copy of the Proposed <br />others. Highway Plans, concerning Falcon Heights, and present it to the <br />Council. He will discuss the flushing of the culverts with <br />Bert Slama before the freeze-up, suggesting that, if possible, <br />the Volunteers flush them clean of sand, etc. some Drill Night. <br />Parking Utecht moved that the Chief of Police be authorized to determine <br />the number and type of signs necessary to control parking on the <br />West side of Fry Street. Seconded by Nilsen, and carried. <br />Playgrounds There was a discussion regarding skating rinks and it was <br />suggested that the Fire Department and the Committee Chairmen <br />be contacted in an effort to complete plans for flooding the <br />rinks, and the control of hockey so that both the hockey players <br />and the social skaters can enjoy themselves in safety. <br />Bills On motion by Coppini, seconded by Nilsen, the following bills <br />were ordered paid: <br />
