1513 <br />and Albert. Seconded by Coppini and. carried. <br />License All requirements having been met, D~7ASTER PLUT,4BER'S LICENSE #61 <br />was issued to N1m. G. Dunkel, 1471 Crawford A-.-e., St. Paul, 13. <br />Moved by Utecht, seconded by Nilsen and carried. <br />Streets Utecht moved that the Village Council write a letter to <br />Commissioner Ed Salverda, sending a carbon copy to Robert <br />Blomberg, advising Salverda that snoNr ploUring operations in <br />front of the Blomberg Drug and Grocery have, in the past, been <br />entirely unsatisfactory, to the property owner, and that it be <br />pointed out that since the Village of Falcon Heights has no <br />snow plowing equipment, and also since the plowing is done by <br />the County and paid for by the Village, that it is expected that <br />any future operations be such as to clear the snow out from in <br />front of Blomberg's store; and ±h at the Maintenance Crew for <br />the County be requested to keep that street in front of that <br />business area. in such condition that it will not constantly <br />break away from the curbing. Seconded by Coppini. Carried. <br />Utecht made a further resolution that the engineer be instructed <br />by mail, with a carbon copy to P.Zr. Blomberg, to furnish the Clerk <br />with a copy of all correspondence they have had with T,4r. Blomberg <br />in the last year so that the Clerk can take this matter up per- <br />sonally with ~~.4r. Blomberg, and that the Attorney be requested to <br />advise the Cilerk, in writing, the legal restrictions as to why <br />Falcon Heights cannot spend Village funds for the repair and <br />maintenance of Hamline Avenue. Seconded by Shavor. Carried. <br />Underpass, Snell- Copy of letter tivri+ en by Bonestroo to the Minnesota Highway <br />ing & Larpenteur Department December 13th was read. Letter read as follows: <br /> "The Vi7.lage of Falcon Heights would like to set a meeting with <br /> the r~Zinneso to Highway Department relative to discussing the <br /> proposed grade separation at Larpenteur & Snelling. At a Council <br /> meeting on December 8th, 1960, a tentative date of January 19 <br /> , <br />1961, at 7:3~ P. ~~d. was agreed upon. We would appreciate your <br /> confirmation of this meeting to the Village office." No reply <br /> having been received, the Deputy Clerk was instructed to write <br /> the Highway Department, referring to the above letter and asking <br /> for a reply. <br />Dog Catcher Utecht moved that B & E Patrol be instructed, in writing, not to <br /> answer any calls unless called in either by the Village Office, <br /> Police, or a P.4ember of the Council. Seconded by Warkentien and <br /> carried. <br />P~dinnesota The Clerk was instructed to send notice of the annual meeting <br />Safety to be held Tuesday, Janu~:ry 10th, 1961, at 12:15 noon at the <br />Council Hotel Lowry to David P. Cartwright, the Village representative. <br />Street F?.epairs The Clerk was instructed to send Estimate No. 1, File #60Ctlal, <br />Dunkley Surfac- Dunkley Surfacing Co., Inc., in the amount of ~10,231.lt7, <br />ing Co. covering street resurfacing, to Bonestroo & Associa±,es, telling <br /> Bonestroo the Council feels that there should be a greater <br /> hold-back than 15~. <br />
