1555 REGULAR r~SEETING JANUARY 12, 1Q61. Meeting was called to order at 7:00 P, ?~., the following Council Pdembers being present: Harold C. Nilsen, Mayor; George Shavor, Trustee; Paul Coppini, Trustee; Willis '~farkentien, Trustee and A. W. Mortenson, Clerk. Also present were Wm. E. Olsen, Treasurer; Frank N. Graham, Attorney and Ethel E. White, Deputy Clerk and Deputy Treasurer. The Minutes of the Special Meeting of December 29th, 1960 were approved as submitted. Audit: Wm. R. Utecht reported he had contacted Haskins & Sells, Certified Public Accountants, and +„hat they had advised changing of the examination to a later date would be of benefit to them, and that while the charges would be based on the time required to perform . the examination,'the price would be 10~ less than normal rates, maximum billing 91,350.00. The matter was laid aside for action at the next meeting. Observers: Tom Mortenson, Anne Fyiurray, Carol Houle, Don Schroeder, Bob Lawrence, Bob Ziegler and Dave Kile, all members of the Senior Social Studies Class at Alexander Ramsey High School, who are studying government, were present. Sewer Bills: Mrs. White reported that the City of St. Paul had back-billed the Villap~e for sewer rental on installations which had been completed after the end of the June 30th quarter, i. e. July 1st, July 2nd, July 6th and July 8th; and was advised to back-bill the residents inasmuch as St. Paul had back-billed the Village. Ballot boxes: Nilsen moved that the Village Clerk be authorized to purchase 6 used Ballot Boxes at 92.00 each from the Village of New Brighton provided they were in good condition. Seconded by Shavor and carried. Sewer Rental The Deputy Cl~srk was authorized to order 3000 sewer rental billing Cards: cards, the same as had in the east from Inter-City Printing Co, Dog Control: Proposed contract submitted by B. & E. Patrol was referred to Clerk rortenson for study and recommendation. Hearing Snell- Trustee Coppini was authorized to contact the Reber boy in connection Larp. under- with checking and operating the Recorder which is to be used at the Hass: meeting on January 18th. Kjelland be named to the Board of Health, her term to expire 12/31/63, the Deputy Clerk to mail her a copy of the Health Ordinance. SC?+ROA: It was determined that W. A. Mortenson and George A. Shavor be named Falcon Heights' Official Representatives at the meetings of the Ramsey County P7uniciual Officials Association, with as many other members of the Council a±~tending as p~>ssible. Watermain: Mayor Nilsen and Attorney Graham reported on their conference with ~.4r. Lund, Vice President of the University of Minnesota, in charge of physical plant, regarding Public Vrater.
