Olsen, Treasurer, ill. <br />The T:Iinutes of the regular meeting of January 26th were approved as submitted. <br />Police Car Police Commissioner Don Arndt was present. Arndt will get <br />prices on marking the doors "Falcon Heights Police"' in reflector- <br />ized paint. <br />Ramsey County Trustee Paul Coppini and <br />Municipal Heights' representatives <br />Officials' Ramsey County isqunicipal <br />Assn. to attend when possible. <br />Clerk Y~r. A. PJlortenson were named Falcon <br />on the Legislative Committee of the <br />Officials' Association, either or both <br />Intersection 3onestroo's report on their February 2nd meeting with the Highway <br />Larpenteur P~ Department was read and filed. Copies were sent to Jos. Stein- <br />Snelling worth, President of the ?usiness wen's Club, Howard Dahlgren, <br />Planning Consultant and Mr. C~odward, Engineer representing <br />Douglas Rees. <br />Tree Spraying L. E. Fournier of the Foi.zrnier Tree Service was present. He <br />advised they were having very good success with the dormant oil <br />spray for scale insects; that St. Paul is asking for bids on <br />spraying the trees in St. Anthony Park. He was asked to advise <br />the Village Office if he got the contract for spraying the St. <br />Anthony Park trees. Fournier is to advise the cost of spraying <br />the trees in University Grove and what other spraying, if any, <br />the budget will Hermit. <br />`~unicipal After discussion, Shavor moved adoption of the following resolution: <br />State Aid <br />Streets "BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to statutory authority, the Village <br />Engineer for and on behalf of the Village of falcon Heights is <br />hereby authorized to request and obtain from the Minnesota Dep art- <br />ment of Highways, needed engineering and technical services during <br />the year of 1961; for which payment will be made by the Village <br />upon recei^t of verified claims from the Commissioner of Highways." <br />Seconded by Coppini and. unanimously carried. <br />Requisition It vras moved by Coppini, seconded by Nilsen and unanimously <br />X172 carried that requisition X172 for supplies needed by the Fire <br />Department be approved. <br />Village Hall, P.4ortenson moved that the Council accept the proposal of Clarence <br />Office Rekstad for the modernization of the Clerk's Office, including the <br />'_~lodernization paneling of the South and East l`~i=~11s with ryeldw god Charter Birch, <br />and the building of the desk counters as per our sketch, at a total <br />cost of X850.00. Seconded by Shavor and unanimously carried. <br />Planning r;ilsen moved the appoint^~ent of ~1.rs. Ralph F. I3erdie, 2208 Folwell, <br />Commission to the Planning Commission for .3 term expiring January lst, 1962. <br />Seconded by Coppini and unanimously carried. <br />
