,~ <br />1583 <br /> REGULAR ?~4EETING APRII, 13, 1961. <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:00 P. M., the following Council Members being <br />present: Harold C. Nilsen, Mayor; George J. Shavor, Trustee; Paul Goppini, <br />Trustee; Willis Warkentien, Trustee and W. A. Mortenson, Clerk. Also present <br />were Wm. E. Olsen, Treasurer; Frank N. Graham, Village Attorney; Otto <br />Bonestroo, Village Engineer and Ethel E. White, Deputy Clerk and Deputy <br />Treasurer. <br />The Minutes of the Regular meeting of March 23rd were approved as submitted. <br />RC~'IOA There was a discussion regarding the RCMOA resolution regarding <br /> funds to permit the municipalities of Ramsey County to form a <br /> league and to finance the work of said league. It was felt <br /> by the Council that our problems differ from many of the other <br /> municipalities, and no action was taken. <br />Sanitary There was a discussion regarding the Metropolitan Area Sanitary <br />Sewer Sewer Problem. No action was taken. <br />Weeds Weed Inspector, Wm. Carroll, advised he had attended a meeting <br /> of the Ramsey County Weed Inspectors and reported on same. <br /> He was authorized to investigate the cost of equipment of size <br /> and ease of operation to make the suggested work practical. <br />Requisition On motion by Coppini, seconded by Shavor and unanimously carried <br />h <br />F <br />' <br /> e <br />t <br />ire Department <br />s requisition #171 for Janitor supplies was <br /> approved. <br />Engineering Letter of April 12th, from J. M. Evans, State Aid Engineer, <br />Assistance authorizing the Village to request any needed engineering and <br /> technical assistance during the calendar year, was read and <br /> filed. <br />Rezoning Ernest Weight, 1687 W. Lar~enteur Avenue, presented a petition <br /> asking that his property at the above address be rezoned from <br /> Farm Residence to Business for use as doctor's offices or <br /> stores, such as furniture or other business. He was advised <br /> that the vetition should be referred to the Village Attorney <br /> for checking, and that he should depesit $25.00 to cover cost <br /> of ownership report and processing. He decided he would wait <br /> until after the joint meeting of the council, the planning <br /> commission, and the planning consultant which will be held <br /> Tuesday, April 18th, at which time the Mayor advised him they <br /> would discuss his request for rezoning. Mr. Weigt is to <br /> appear at the Council Meeting April 27th for a report. <br />Sanitary It was stated by C. K. Otis, and confirmed by Otto Bonestroo, <br />Sewer that Toltz, King, Duval & Anderson had measured his basement <br />1757 wrong, and that as a result he cannot connect to the serer. <br />Fairview Basement was shot and recorded as 962.80 whereas it is 9b2.23. <br /> To connect, it will be necessary to reverse the plumbing, go <br /> out the other side of the house and connect to the sewer line, <br /> at an additional plumbing charge of approximately X435.00, plus the <br /> cost of repairing the basement floor.
