1587 REGULAR '+iEETING APRIt~ 27th, 1961. Meeting was called to order at 7:00 P. 1t2., the following Council ltiembers being present: Harold C. Nilsen, Mayor; George Shavor, Trustee; Paul Coppini, Trustee; W. A. P~ortenson, Clerk. Also present were Frank N. Uraham, Village Attorney; Wm. E. Olsen, Treasurer; B. Lemberg Engineer and Ethel E. Z'Jhite, Deputy Clerk and Deputy Treasurer. Absent: Willis :9arkentien, Trustee. The Minutes of the regular meeting of April 13th were approved as submitted. Streets, Letter from the Post Office thanking us for our cooperation Names in the street naming program and advising they would furnish new zone books was read and filed. rdeeting, change It was moved by Nilsen, seconded by Coppini and unanimously of date. voted to hold the meeting scheduled for May 11th on ':1Ray 9th to Hermit the Council to attend the Falcon Heights PTA meeting May 11th, at which Col. Schon will speak on Civil Defense at 8:15 P. M. Assessor It was moved by Nilsen, seconded by Shavor and unanimously voted that Wm. C. Carroll, 1372 Iowa, be appointed Assistant Assessor for 1961, his term to expire March 1, 1963. Court Letter from Sheriff Kermit Redman requesting that they be advised what disposition was made on cases of persons booked into and released from the Ramsey County Jail was read and the Deputy Clerk instructed to send copies to Justices Stougaard and Johnson, and Police Commissioner Arndt. Licenses All requirements having been met, it was moved by RZortenson, seconded by Coppini and unanimously voted that Sewer Installer's License #1~1 be issued for Robert J. Ostrowski, dba Park Plbg. & Heating Company, 1779 Selby, St. Paul, !t, Minnesota. All requirements having been met, it was moved by Shavor, seconded by Coppini and unanimously voted that Plumber's License #63 be issued to Fred 1~4uralt, dba Fred Muralt Plbg., 3958 Bloomington, So., Minneapolis, Minn. Weed Notice It bras moved by Coppini, seconded by Shavor and unanimously voted that the ltiayor and Clerk be authorized to sign paper _ agreeing to pay our proportionate share of weed notice publi- cation for the year 1961. Northome Shopping Letter of April 21~th, signed by D. 0. Julep, asking for Center recommendations for trees along the West side of Arona Street between Larpenteur Avenue and Idaho, as well as re- questing a "No Dumping" sign on the boulevard to the rear of the house on the Northwest corner of Arona and Idaho, eras read. The Deputy Glerk was instructed to send a copy of this letter to Dr. Hard, Chairman Tree Committee,and to order "No Dumping" sign from the county to be placed as requested.
