1587 <br />REGULAR '+iEETING APRIt~ 27th, 1961. <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:00 P. 1t2., the following Council ltiembers being <br />present: Harold C. Nilsen, Mayor; George Shavor, Trustee; Paul Coppini, Trustee; <br />W. A. P~ortenson, Clerk. Also present were Frank N. Uraham, Village Attorney; <br />Wm. E. Olsen, Treasurer; B. Lemberg Engineer and Ethel E. Z'Jhite, Deputy Clerk <br />and Deputy Treasurer. Absent: Willis :9arkentien, Trustee. <br />The Minutes of the regular meeting of April 13th were approved as submitted. <br />Streets, Letter from the Post Office thanking us for our cooperation <br />Names in the street naming program and advising they would furnish <br />new zone books was read and filed. <br />rdeeting, change It was moved by Nilsen, seconded by Coppini and unanimously <br />of date. voted to hold the meeting scheduled for May 11th on ':1Ray 9th <br /> to Hermit the Council to attend the Falcon Heights PTA <br /> meeting May 11th, at which Col. Schon will speak on Civil <br /> Defense at 8:15 P. M. <br />Assessor It was moved by Nilsen, seconded by Shavor and unanimously <br /> voted that Wm. C. Carroll, 1372 Iowa, be appointed <br /> Assistant Assessor for 1961, his term to expire March 1, 1963. <br />Court Letter from Sheriff Kermit Redman requesting that they be <br /> advised what disposition was made on cases of persons booked <br /> into and released from the Ramsey County Jail was read and <br /> the Deputy Clerk instructed to send copies to Justices <br /> Stougaard and Johnson, and Police Commissioner Arndt. <br />Licenses All requirements having been met, it was moved by RZortenson, <br /> seconded by Coppini and unanimously voted that Sewer Installer's <br /> License #1~1 be issued for Robert J. Ostrowski, dba Park Plbg. <br /> & Heating Company, 1779 Selby, St. Paul, !t, Minnesota. <br /> All requirements having been met, it was moved by Shavor, <br /> seconded by Coppini and unanimously voted that Plumber's <br /> License #63 be issued to Fred 1~4uralt, dba Fred Muralt Plbg., <br /> 3958 Bloomington, So., Minneapolis, Minn. <br />Weed Notice It bras moved by Coppini, seconded by Shavor and unanimously <br /> voted that the ltiayor and Clerk be authorized to sign paper <br />_ agreeing to pay our proportionate share of weed notice publi- <br /> cation for the year 1961. <br />Northome Shopping Letter of April 21~th, signed by D. 0. Julep, asking for <br />Center recommendations for trees along the West side of Arona <br /> Street between Larpenteur Avenue and Idaho, as well as re- <br /> questing a "No Dumping" sign on the boulevard to the rear <br /> of the house on the Northwest corner of Arona and Idaho, <br />eras read. The Deputy Glerk was instructed to send a copy <br /> of this letter to Dr. Hard, Chairman Tree Committee,and to <br /> order "No Dumping" sign from the county to be placed as requested. <br />
