1636 <br />the Village of Falcon Heights and the area immediately <br />ad3acent on the south. <br />Assessments, After discussion, it was moved by 5havor, seconded by <br />Arona St, Warkentien and unanimously voted to approve the following <br />resolutions <br />RESOLUTION FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT: <br />WHEREAS, by resolution passed by the Council on .August 31, <br />1961, the Village Clerk was directed to prepare a proposed <br />assessment of the cost of improving Arona Street from <br />Larpenteur Avenue to Crawford Street by September 1ltth, <br />1961, and <br />WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the Council that such pro- <br />posed assessment has been completed and filed in his office <br />for public inspection, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of <br />Falcon Heights, Minnesotan <br />1. A hearing shall be held on the 12th day of October, 1961, <br />in the Village Hall at 8 o~clock P. M. to pass upon such <br />proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons <br />owning property affected by such improvement will be given an <br />opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. <br />2, The Village Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice <br />of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published <br />once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to <br />the hearing, and he shall state in said notice the total <br />cost of the improvement. <br />Sinking Fund After discussion, it was moved by Nilsen, seconded by <br />Investments Warkentien and unanimously voted to approve the following <br />resolutions <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby <br />authorized and directed to purchase with funds in the Sani- <br />tary Sewer Improvement No. 1 Sinking Fund up to $l~1,000.00 <br />worth of U. S. Treasury Bills due Januaryl~th, 1962, <br />AND purchase with funds in the Larpenteur Avenue Watermain & <br />Pumping Station Sinking Fund 9bI~,000.00 worth of U. S, Treasury <br />Bills or Notes, X2,000.00 worth due April 15, 1962 and X2,000,00 <br />due August 15, 1962. <br />AND to deliver all of said bills and bonds after purchase to <br />the First National Bank in St. Paul to be held by them in <br />Safekeeping for the respective sinking fund accounts. <br />Special Meeting A special meeting was set for Monday, September 18th, at <br />7:30 P, M. <br />
