1657 <br />Office Equipment The Clerk was authorized to buy a used typewriter desk <br />• if he found what he considered a "good buy". <br />Attorney's report Attorney Galvin retorted on his discussion with T14r. <br />Baldwin of the Fair Grounds and on Court cases. <br />After discussion, it was moved by stone, seconded by <br />Warkentien and unanimously voted that Vdilliam D. Strusz, <br />302 Wheeler Ave., No. r~.~ankato, Minnesota be reimbursed <br />in the amount of `21.60 to cover his expenses entailed <br />by two extra trips to Court, due to unavoidable circum- <br />stances. <br />Galvin will write the letter to Armor Coat accepting the <br />Hump for the Village and acknowledging their right to use <br />same when and if necessary. <br />Galvin will supply the Council and the Planning Commission <br />with a letter to initiate their adoption of the comprehen- <br />sive zoning ordinance. The Council will adopt the new <br />ordinance as an amer_dment to the tiresent zoning ordinance. <br />Galvin wrote Hooker advising that the Hermes property had <br />not been rezoned, that it had been zoned commercial for <br />several years, but that Hermes has not been able to use <br />the property for eo~nmercial purposes because of restrictive <br />covenants running with the land. <br />Sewer The Deputy Clerk was instructed to again ask Mr. Nahurski <br />for a copy of his letter from the Highway Department. <br />Resolution, Coapini The Deputy Clerk was instructed to prepaxe the following <br />resolution for z~resentation to Paul Coppini, former trustee: <br />WHEREAS, Paul L. Coppini served as Village 'Trustee for the <br />Village of Falcon Heights, ~,Sinnesota from January, 1968 <br />to September 30th, 1961 <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Village Council hereby <br />expresses, on behalf of the Village of Falcon Heights and <br />it's citizens, thanks and appreciation to Paul Coppini <br />for his outstanding services to the community. <br />Police, Resignation Warkentien moved that the Village Council accept, with <br />Jerome R. Johnson regret, the resignation of Jerome R. Johnson, Police <br />Officer, effective November 10th, 1961 for personal and <br />health reasons as stated in his letter of October 2nd, 1961. <br />Seconded by Shavor and carried. <br />[: <br />
