1718 <br />B. N. Hendrickson recommended that Frank Irving be designated <br />as Chairman of the Tree Committee. Engineer Lemberg will vrork <br />with Hard on amendment of the present tree ordinances. <br />Snelling-Idaho Letter of T'ebruary 2nd from the 1~epartment of Highways, signed <br />Poinding Area: by J. H. Swanberg, Chief Engineer, was read and referred to <br />Attorney Galvin. <br />Crawford Avenue Engineer Lemberg advised that upon a further check of the <br />Estimates proposed Crawford Avenue Improvement, it was found that it will <br />be necessary to go up .Simpson approximately 300' rather than the <br />2001 as estimated. This will increase the estimated cost from <br />57J~88.25 to X8900.00, or 7119.00 to be maid by the Village. <br />The estimate on curb and gutter would remain the same. <br />After discussion, it was moved by Stone, seconded by ti'Aarkentien <br />and voted that the cost of the improvement be changed from <br />°7488.25 to X8900.00 -- "71l~9.00 to be paid by the Village. <br />Traffic: The American '3ar Association Traffic Court Inven tory was dis- <br />cussed and referred. to ~'~arkentien for study. St was thought <br />it might be too extensive for our needs - our only problems being <br />on State and County Highways. <br />Drainage: There was a discussion regarding the bill from the County in the <br />amount of r~1604.89 a.s our 1~3 share of the cost of the pumping <br />station, anal the auditor's request for verification was returned <br />vrith the notation "This bill is in dispute since it eras estimated <br />at X300.00". <br />Rezoning, 16P7 T1Ir. 4'~~'agner, prospective buyer of the rrnest ~"refight property, <br />W. Larpenteur: appeared to request "~flultiple Residence" use of the ~~eigt prop- <br />erty. He was advised that a conditional use had been granted for <br />use as a duplex. Anything further would have to be accompanied <br />by detailed plans, and be resubmitted to the Planning Commission <br />for recommendation, and for action by the Council. <br />Attorney's Galvin reported they will ask for 51525, plus cost of street <br />Report: Hatching to be done in the Spring, on the Herbst Damage Suit. <br />Them is only one traffic case Wending and the statement of the <br />policeman apparently will not support a prosecution. <br />He will contact Stadler regarding the Radefeldt charge. <br />He will write a letter to H. L.
