1720 1 SPECIAL MEETING 2/15/62 Meeting xas called to order at 8 p. m., the following Council Members being present: Harold C. Nilsen, Mayor; George J. Shavor, Trustee; Charles P. Stone, Trustee; W. A. Mortenson, Clerk. Also present were Brad Lemberg, Village Engineer; Otto ~ionestroo, Village P~gineer; and Ethel E. V~hite, Deputy Clerk and Deputy Treasurer. Absent: Millis %arkentien, Trustee and Wm. E. Olsen, Treasurer. Arona Avenue After discussion, it xas moved by Nilsen, seconded by Shavor Improvement: and voted tc> adopt the following resolutions RESOLUTION ORDERING THB IMPROVEA~NT OF AftONA AVENUE FROM LARPENTEUR AVENUE TO CRAVPFORD AVENUE BY SURFACING ARONA AVENUE, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, AND ORDERING ADVERTISEi~ENT FOR BIDS ON SAID IMPROVEMEN`Ts WHEREAS, a resolution of the Village Council of the Village of Falcon Heights, adopted the 9th day of November, 1961, ordered Bonestroo, Hosene and Associates, Village Engineers, to prepare a report on the improvement of Arona Avenue from Larpenteur Avenue to Crawford Avenue, and 1 WHEREAS, Bonestroo, Rosene and Associates, Village Engineers, have prepared said plans and specifications, N(39P THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of Falcon Heights, Minnesotan (1) Such plans and specifications, a copy of xhich are attached hereto and made a part hereof, are approved and ordered placed on file in the office of the Village Clerk. (2) That said improvement is hereby ordered as described in the resolution of November 9, 19b1, and said plans and specifications. (3) The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall'~be published for at least ten~days and shall specify the xork to be done and shall state that bids xill be publicly opened and considered by the Council at 8 p. m. on Thursday, the 8th day of March, 1962, in the council chambers in the Village Hall, and that no bids xill be considered uril.ess sealed and filed xith the Clerk and accom~aan- ied by a cash deposit, cashier's check or certified check payable to the Clerk for 5~ of the amount of such bid. 1 Adopted this 15th day of February, 1962.
