1730 <br />REGULAR MEETING 3/21/62 <br />rdeeting was called to order at 7 p. m., the following Council Members being <br />presents Harold C. Nilsen, Mayor; Charles P. Stone, Trustee; Willis Warken- <br />tien, Trustee; George J. Shavor, Trustee; W. A. Mortenson, Clerk. Also <br />present were M. J. Galvin, Village Attorney, Wm. E. Olsen, Treasurer; Brad <br />Lemberg, Engineer; and Ethel E. White, Deputy Clerk and Deputy Treasurer. <br />On motion by Stone, seconded by Warkentien, the Minutes of March 8th were <br />a-proved as corrected. (Page 1726, 5th paragraph, 3rd line "F. J. Stocker" <br />changed to P. F. Stocker." <br />Drainage, Clerk Mortenson read message from ?~Ir. Sullivan of the <br />Share of Ex- Ramsey County Engineering Department, summarized as <br />pense, Gott- follows: Our share of the expense at the Gottfried Pit <br />fried Pit for 1960 should have been ~5Lt2.16, against which we should <br /> have a credit for l~lblt.90, leaving X377.26 which should <br /> have been paid in 1961. Our share this year is X233.08. <br /> Inasmuch as they have already closed. their books for 1961, <br /> they asked if we would pay `~51~2.1b and they will bill us <br /> X68.18 for this year. It was the feeling of the Council <br /> that we could cooperate to this extent. <br />Aerial Maps Letter from the State Highway Department advising that near <br /> aerial maps would be ready about May was read. The Deputy <br /> Clerk was instructed to ascertain cost of same. <br />Ramsey County <br />League of Munici- Letter of March 1lt, B,y--Laws and Resolution were read. It <br />was moved by Shavor, seconded b <br />Warkentien and vot <br />d t <br /> <br />polities y <br />e <br />o <br />adopt the following resolutions ."WHEREAS, a Ramsey County <br /> League of Municipalities has been organized as permitted by <br /> laws, 1961, Chapter 728, for the purpose of research on <br /> problems common to the municipalities participating therein, <br /> to aid governmental progress, NOW, Ti~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED <br /> BY THE COUNCIL QF THE VILLAC'E OF FALCON HEIGHTS, RAMSEY <br /> COUNTY, MINNESOTA., IN REGULAR R:SEETING HELD THIS 21ST DAY OF <br /> MARCH, 1962, 'THAT IT HEREBY JOINS THE P,A~~`SEY COUNTY LEAGUE <br /> OF MUNICIPALITIES, AUTHORIZES PAYMENT OF DUES AND ACCEPTS <br /> THE BY-LAWS OF SAID LEAGUE." <br /> It was moved by Nilsen, seconded by Stone and voted that <br /> Trustee Shavor and Clerk Mortenson be appointed Falcon <br /> Heights' Official Representatives, and that Trustees Stone <br /> and Warkentien would be their alternates, the Clerk to so <br /> .advise Herman L. Kottke, Acting Secretary. <br />Assessor It was moved by Nilsen, seconded by Warkentien and voted that <br /> Wm. P. Carroll, former Assistant Assessor, 1372 W. Iowa, be <br /> appointed as Assistant Assessor for the Village of Falcon <br /> Heights for the year 1962. <br />Grade, Albert Letter from H. P. ?3runcke, 1710 No. Albert, regarding the <br />Street grade on Albert Street was read and the Deputy Clerk instructed <br /> to look up past correspondence regarding this matter. <br />Elections Letter regarding elections from County Auditor, Eugene Monick, <br /> was read and the Deputy Clerk instructed to check number of <br /> votes at the last Primary and General Elections. <br />
