<br />Trustee. Also present were M. J. CTalvin, Village Attorney; Wm. E. Olsen,
<br />Treasurer; and Ethel E. White, Deputy Clerk and Deputy Treasurer. Absent:
<br />Geo. Shavor, Trustee and W. A. l.flortenson, Clerk.
<br />The PRinutes of June 11th we-~e approved as submitted on motion by lryarkentien,
<br />seconded by Stone and. carried.
<br />On motion by Stone, seconded by Nilsen, the Minutes of June 13th were approved
<br />as changed. (Page 1767, 3rd paragraph, second sentence changed to read
<br />"The Bruncke water damage claim" and the "Hanson Sewer Claim." Same page,
<br />3rd ~oaragraph, 1st, sentence changed to read "9ianchi's question regarding
<br />Fairview Avenue set-back on Sipes property.".
<br />Convention Tt vras determined that the Village is not permitted, by law,
<br />Expense: to pay expenses for wives accompanying delegates to conventions.
<br />Courts W:arkentien reported a quotation of X368,00 was submitted for the
<br /> construction of the Judge's z3ench. It •~ras felt that this is
<br /> high and action was postponed..
<br />Streets and It was determined that there would be no general oiling of streets
<br />Alleys: and alleys this year. There may be a few bad spots that will have
<br /> to be taken care of.
<br />Parking Plan The deputy clerk was instructed to mail a copy of the plan to
<br />Snell-Larp.: Douglas Rees, 5000 'Ptayzata ~31vd. , ~flinneapolis, ~.?inn.
<br />Used truck, Nilsen moved that the Village accept the offer of flflylo Chrysler,
<br />culverts, Truck Engineering, 21lt0 Rice Street, to remove the 1917 Varhite
<br />gravel, etc.: Tank Truck, serial 337975, 1962 Reg. No. TE W X55, which is to
<br /> be junked, the used culverts, gravel and other unusable material
<br /> from the Village Hall ?arking Lot as soon as possible, he to pay
<br /> the Village °~?_5.00 upon c9mplet~tion. Seconded by Stone ar_d carried.
<br />Needs Letter from the County Vdelfare Department regarding cutting weeds
<br /> on the Julia Lindig property was read. Nilsen moved trat the Weed
<br /> Inspector proceed to have the weeds cut in the usual mangier and to
<br /> 'seep track of the expense involved if necessary for the Village to
<br /> cut, with same to be collected or certified to the County Auditor
<br /> for co?_lection with. taxes. Seconded by Stone and carried.
<br />Licenses On motion by Stone, seconded by Nilsen, it was voted to ax~prove
<br /> the following licenses to overate filling stations;
