1798 <br />Sewer, Shavor moved that the surer stub connection for Don Arndt be <br />1lt1~7 Iowas dug up to discover the cause of repeated stoppage. Seconded <br />by Nilsen and carried. Lemberg is to make arrangements to <br />have this work done. <br />Amber After discussion, it was moved by Nilsen, seconded by Shavor <br />flashing and votedto approve the following resolutions <br />lights at <br />Crosswalks WHEREAS, the Village of Falcon Heights deems it necessary and <br />advisable to construct a flashing Pedestrian Traffic Signal on <br />Larpenteur Avenue, East of Snelling Avenue, and <br />WHEREAS Ramsey County has facilities for the preparation of <br />plans and specifications acceptable to the Minnesota Highway <br />Department for said signal lights, it is hereby resolved that the <br />Village of Falcon Heights requests Ramsey County to prepare <br />specifications and plans for such signal. <br />Assessment After discussion, it was moved by Mortenson, seconded by <br />Hearing: Nilsen and voted to approve the following RESOLUTION DECLARING <br />COSTS T~} BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED <br />ASSESSA~NT s <br />~Phereas a contract has been let for the improvement of Crawford <br />Avenue between Arona and Simpson streets by resurfacing Crawford <br />Avenue and the construction of curbs and gutters on Crawford <br />Avenue and the contract price for such improvement is ~6,50I~.ltO <br />and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of <br />said improvement amount to ~1t78.10 so the total cost of the <br />improvement will be $b,982.50, and of this cost the pillage will <br />Pay X5,503.50 as it's share of the cost, <br />Now Therefore, be it resolved by the Village Council of the <br />Village of Falcon Heights, Minnesotan <br />1. The cost of such improvement to be especially assessed is <br />hereby declared to be ffi1,l~79.00. <br />2. The Village clerk, with the Assistance of the Village engineer, <br />shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially <br />assessed for said improvement against every assessable lot, <br />piece or parcel of land within the district affected, without regard <br />to cash valuation, as provided by law and shall file a copy of such <br />proposed assessment in his office for public inspection. <br />3. The Clerk shall, upon the completion of such proposed assessment, <br />notify the Council thereof. <br />Adopted by the Council the 22nd day of August, 19b2. <br />Attorney's Atty. Galvin reported it is not lawful to require a license for <br />Report: selling farm products when sold by the grower. However, neither is <br />it lawful to sell spoiled or adulterated food. <br />He talked to Commissioner Rosen of St. Paul regarding sewer charges <br />based on meter sizes. Rosen will check in to the matter further. <br />
