1809 <br />REGULAR tdEETING OCTOBER 10, 1962. <br />Meeting was called to order at 7 P. M., the following ?embers of the Council <br />being present: .Harold C. Nilsen, R?ayor; Willis ~uarkentien, Trustee; W. A. <br />'ulortenson, Clerk; George Shavor, Trustee. Also present were M. J. Galvin, <br />Village Attorney; Brad Lemberg, Village Engineer; Wm. E. Olsen, Treasurer; <br />and Ethel E. White, beputy Clerk and T~eputy Treasurer. Absent: Charles P. <br />Stone, Trustee. <br />Minutes of the Special Meeting of September 21st were approved as submitted <br />on motion by Shavor, seconded by riortenson. <br />Pdinutes of the Regular Tdeeting of September 26th were approved on motion by <br />Shavor, seconded by W?rkentien. <br />Sidewalk: P~~~ortenson moved that the application for building permit for <br />concrete sidewalk fronting the Clarence Schiller residence <br />at 11167 W. Hoyt be approved. Seconded by Nilsen and carried. <br />Variance: Shavor moved that the request of Geo. O. Zaier, 1892 No. Arona, <br />Juhls Iioselawn Addition No. 3, Pdo. 5' of lot 12 and all of lot <br />13, block 1t, location 15, for a Variance to permit them to <br />make their attached single car garage into a double car garage <br />be referred to the Planning Commission. Seconded by Warkentien <br />and carried. <br />Guests: Gary Ringus and Ken "dueller, 9th grade students at Fairview <br />Junior High School where they are studying Minnesota and <br />National Government, were present to witness the Council Meeting. <br />Fuel Oil: Clerk Pdortenson read the fuel oil bids as followss <br />Pure Oil Co. .123 per gallon <br />Shell Oil Co. .1Lt7 a rt <br />Thorne Coal & Oil .123 t- " <br />Shavor moved that the Village continue it's contract with <br />Thorne Oil Co. Seconded by Mortenson and carried. <br />Election The appointment of the following Election Judges for the November <br />Judges: 6th election was approved by unanimous vote on motion by Shavor, <br />seconded by ~~rarkentien: <br />PRECINCT 1: <br />Ruth Martin, Chairman, 1765 Fairview. <br />Mrs. Roy Johnson, 1816 Tatum. <br />Esther Jaros, 171<8 Tatum. <br />Marie Nodland, 171t9 Fairview. <br />Irene PdacGregor, 1795 Fairview. <br />Counters: <br />Ruth Ohnstein, Chairman, 17112 Tatum. <br />Mrs. Frank Irving, 17115 No. Tatum. <br />Mrs. Leonard Nielsen, 1815 No. Tatum. <br />Mrs. Frank Skog, 1607 r.4aple Knoll. <br />
