(1) Any lot other than a corner lot which abuts more than one street. On a through lot, all
<br />the street lines shall be considered the front lines for applying this chapter; or
<br />(2) A lake or stream frontage lot having a public road as one lot line and a water body at
<br />the opposite lot line.
<br />Lot width means the horizontal distance between the side lot lines of a lot measured at the
<br />setback line.
<br />Mailing services means establishments primarily engaged in furnishing services for direct
<br />mail advertising, such as creating, producing, and mailing of direct mail advertising. This
<br />industry also includes establishments primarily engaged in compiling and selling mailing lists.
<br />Manufacturing, general, means all manufacturing, pounding, processing, packaging,
<br />treatment, or assembly of goods or materials which involve a risk of offensive or dangerous
<br />noise, odor, or pollution beyond the lot on which the use is located. Such uses include, but are
<br />not limited to, the following: sawmill; refineries; commercial feedlots; acid; cement; explosives;
<br />flour, feed, and grain milling or storage; meat packing, slaughterhouses; coal or tar asphalt
<br />distillation; rendering of fat, grease, lard, or tallow; alcoholic beverages; poisons; exterminating
<br />agents; glue; lime; gypsum; plaster of Paris; tanneries; automobile parts; paper and paper
<br />products including storage; electric power generation facilities; vinegar works; junkyards; auto
<br />reduction yards; foundry; forge; casting of metal products; rock, stone, cement products, poultry
<br />keeping, processing and slaughter.
<br />Manufactured home means a structure, transportable in one or more sections, which is built
<br />on a permanent chassis and is designated for use with or without a permanent foundation when
<br />attached to the required utilities.
<br />Manufacturing, limited, means all compounding, processing, packaging treatment, or
<br />assembly of goods and materials, provided such use will not involve the risk of offensive odors,
<br />glare, smoke, dust, noise, vibrations, or other pollution extending beyond the lot on which the
<br />use is located. Such uses include, but are not limited to, the following: lumberyards, machine
<br />shops, products assembly, sheet metal shops, plastics, electronics, general vehicle repair (repair
<br />garage), body work and painting, contractor shops and storage yard, food and nonalcoholic
<br />beverages, signs and displays, printing, publishing, fabricated metal parts, appliances, clothing,
<br />textiles, and used auto parts.
<br />Manure means any solid or liquid containing animal excreta.
<br />Massage means any method of pressure on, or friction against, or the rubbing, stroking,
<br />kneading, tapping, pounding, vibrating, stimulating, or rolling of the external parts of the human
<br />body with the hands or with the aid of any mechanical or electrical apparatus, or other appliances
<br />or devices, with or without such supplementary aids as rubbing alcohol, liniment, antiseptic, oil,
<br />powder, cream, lotion, ointment, or other similar preparations.
<br />Measured distances means the nearest foot. If a fraction is one-half foot or less, the "integral
<br />foot" next below shall be taken.
<br />Medical uses means those uses concerned with the diagnosis, treatment, and care of human
<br />beings. These include: hospitals, dental services, medical services or clinic, nursing or
<br />convalescent home, orphan's home, rest home, and sanitarium.
<br />Miscellaneous retail establishments means retail establishments which fall into the
<br />following categories: drugstores, liquor stores, used merchandise stores (including antiques),
<br />miscellaneous shopping goods stores (sporting goods and bicycles, books, stationary, jewelry,
