MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MAY 27, 1987 <br />PAGE 4 <br />~l <br />RESOLUTION R-87-21 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN RAMSEY <br />COUNTY AND THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS FOR A RECYCLING <br />GRANT <br />PROPOSED RESOLUTION EXCLUDING WIESSNER FROM PERA <br />Ciernia moved, seconded by Wallin, adoption of Resolution R-87-22. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION R-87-22 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING ELECTION OF JANET R. WIESSNER <br />TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT <br />ASSOCIATION <br />JUNE 10, 1987 COUNCIL MEETING CANCELLED <br />Due to the fact that Councilmembers and the Clerk Administrator will be <br />attending the League Convention June 9 through June 12, Chenoweth moved, <br />seconded by Wallen, cancellation of the June 10, 1987 Council Meeting. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />PLACEMENT OF "NO PARKING/TOW AWAY" SIGNS FOR JULY 4 APPROVED <br />Council reviewed Wiessner's letter dated May 21, 1987 to Kenneth Weltzin, <br />Ramsey County Public Works, requesting placement of temporary "No <br />Parking/Tow Away" signs on the north side of Larpenteur from Fairview to <br />Lindig, and both sides of Fairview from Larpenteur to Roselawn, for July <br />4th only, and placement of permanent "Tow Away Zone" signs on both sides <br />of Larpenteur from Snelling to Cleveland. Ciernia moved, seconded by <br />Wallin approval of the request. Motion carried unanimously. <br />CITY WILL NOT REQUIRE PERMITS FOR TEMPORARY SIGNS DURING SNELLING <br />LARPENTEUR CONSTRUCTION <br />Ciernia moved, seconded by Chenoweth, that Council go on record that the <br />code relating to temporary signs will not be enforced for the duration of <br />the Larpenteur/Snelling construction, however, when business is back to <br />normal the code will again be enforced. Motion carried unanimously. <br />REPAIR OF CATCH BASINS IN UNIVERSITY GROVE APPROVED <br />Wiessner presented a request from Vince Wright, Public Works Supervisor, <br />to contract with Midwest Concrete to repair/rebuild five catch basins in <br />the University Grove Area at a cost of $7,600.00. Following a short <br />discussion, Wallin moved, seconded by Baldwin, approval of the request. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />BULLSEYE GOLF REQUEST FOR TENT SALES APPROVED <br />Wiessner presented her memo dated May 26, 1987 indicating Bullseye Golf, <br />1557C W. Larpenteur, is scheduling three tent sales in an effort to make <br />up for business lost during the Snelling/Larpenteur construction. After a <br />
