MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />DECEMBEER 14, 1988 <br />Baldwin convened the meeting at 7:00 P. M. <br />ALL MEMBERS PRESENT <br />Wallin, Bush, Ciernia, Baldwin and P. Chenoweth. Also present <br />were Wiessner, S. Chenoweth, Gedde and Maurer. <br />ADDENDUM TO CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />Council approved the addition of Items E(1) d. and e. to the <br />Consent Agenda. <br />MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 9, 1988 APPROVED <br />Council approved the Minutes of November 9, 1988 as presented. <br />CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />Council approved the following Consent Agenda: <br />1. Disbursements <br /> a. General Disbursements through 12/14/88, $57,528.76 <br /> b. Payroll 11/1/88 - 11/15/88, $11,757.16 <br /> c. Payroll 11/16/88 - 11/30/88, $7,795.10 <br /> d. Accept Donation of Historical Photographs from Lowell <br /> Anderson <br />PLACEMENT OF UTILITY SHED AT 1910 ASBURY, JOHN BURNS RESIDENCE, <br />DEFERRED TO 1/11/89 <br />Wallin explained that Mr. Burns had constructed the shed unaware <br />that the code requires Planning Commission/Council permission, <br />and at the December 5th Planning Commission Meeting that body <br />determined the shed is in violation of the section of the code <br />requiring a 30 foot setback from side streets. The Commission <br />had unanimously agreed the shed should be moved to a location no <br />further north than the existing north side of the garage. <br />Council agreed that there is a code violation, discussed whether <br />or not a variance could legally be granted based on criteria for <br />variances, and if changing the setback requirements for all <br />corner lots should be considered.
