M. <br />CITY ASSESSMENT POLICY DISCUSSION <br />Council reviewed the proposed assessment policy and directed <br />Maurer to make several changes for consideration at a future <br />meeting. Staff was directed to research past assessments to <br />determine the average assessment over the last ten years, and <br />the ratio of cost to assessment. <br />APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT TO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO SUBDIVISION <br />PROCEDURES <br />Council briefly discussed the proposed amendment as recommended <br />by City Planner, Tim Malloy, and by the Planning Commission <br />following their public hearing on April 3, 1989. Wallin then <br />moved adoption of Ordinance No. 0-89-6 which carried <br />unanimously. <br />~Y <br />ORDINANCE 0-89-6 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9-17.02 OF THE <br />MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO SUBDIVISION PROCEDURES <br />1 <br />APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT TO SECTION 4 OF THE CODE RELATING TO SEWER <br />SYSTEMS AND GAS AND ELECTRIC SERVICE. <br />This amendment was recommended to update portions of Section 4 <br />which were adopted in the late 1950s and early 1960s and have <br />become obsolete, plus other changes over the years. Following a <br />short discussion, Ciernia moved adoption of Ordinance 0-89-7 <br />which carried unanimously. <br />ORDINANCE 0-89-7 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4 OF THE MUNICIPAL <br />CODE RELATING TO SEWER SYSTEMS AND GAS AND ELECTRIC <br />SERVICE <br />1 <br />FUNDING AUTHORIZED FOR CITY'S 40TH BIRthDAY CELEBRATION <br />Bush reviewed plans for the celebration and requested Council <br />authorize an expenditure of up to $1,900 to fund the <br />activities. After a brief discussion, Bush moved that the <br />expenditure be authorized, such funds to be taken from the <br />Contingency Account.
