MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />JUNE 28, 1989 <br />Baldwin called the meeting to order at 7:05 P.M. <br />PRESENT <br />Baldwin, Bush and Ciernia. Also present were Wiessner and S. <br />Chenoweth. <br />ABSENT <br />Wallin and P. Chenoweth. (Chenoweth arrived later.) <br />MINUTES OF JUNE 14, 1989 APPROVED <br />Council approved the Minutes of June 14, 1989 as presented. <br />CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />Council approved the following Consent Agenda: <br />1. Disbursements: <br />a. General Disbursements through 6/28/89, $48,768.84 <br />b. Payroll, 6/1/89 -6/15/89, $11,194.93 <br />2. Appointment of Joseph Martinez to Fire Department <br />3. Cancellation of Checks Numbered 22370 and 22411 <br />4. Resolution R-89-15 Requesting Metro Council HRA to <br />Apply for and Implement a Deferred Loan Program <br />Within Falcon Heights <br />5. Licenses: <br />a. Classic R and R, General Contractor #344 <br />b. Minnegasco, Mechanical Contractor #349 <br />6. Permanent Appointment of Tom Kelly as City Accountant <br />P. CHENOWETH ARRIVES <br />Chenoweth arrived at 7:10 P.M. <br />CITY TO REQUEST REDUCTION OF SPEED LIMIT ON FAIRVIEW AVE, <br />LARPENTEUR AVE. TO ROSELAWN <br />Council-briefly discussed a letter from John Shelander, 1761 N. <br />Fairview, requesting that Council consider reducing the speed <br />limit on Fairview from Larpenteur to Roselawn, and commented on <br />the fact that the speed limit north of Roselawn is 35 miles per <br />hour and 40 miles per hour south of Roselawn. Staff was <br />directed to request that Ramsey County consider reducing the <br />speed limit on Fairview south of Roselawn to 35 miles per hour. <br />STATE FAIR "NO PARKING" SIGNS DELETED FROM AGENDA <br />Item F (2) relating to posting of "No Parking" signs during the <br />State Fair was deleted from the agenda. <br />CITY TO NEGOTIATE RECYCLING CONTRACT WITH SUPERCYCLE, INC. <br />~. <br />S. Chenoweth reviewed the proposals for recycling services <br />
