1 <br />1 <br />MINUTES <br />JUNE 28, 1989 <br />PAGE 3 <br />PROPOSED 1990 BUDGET TIMELINE PRESENTED - WORKSHOP SCHEDULED FOR <br />9-16-89, 8:OOA.M. <br /> <br />Wiessner presented a proposed schedule for the 1990 Budget <br />process and asked that Council set a Budget Workshop. Following <br />a brief discussion, Ciernia moved that a budget workshop be <br />scheduled for September 16, 1989 at 8:00 A. M. which carried <br />unanimously. <br />ADDITIONAL "LIVING IN FALCON HEIGHTS" BOOKLETS TO BE ORDERED <br />Council approved the ordering of 500 copies of the booklet <br />"Living in Falcon Heights" to be funded from Account 401-20, <br />Mayor and Council-Communications Budget. <br />ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION R-89-16 RELATING TO FUNDING OF UNIVERSITY <br />GROVE STREET LIGHT INSTALLATION PROJECT <br />Kelly requested approval of Check No. 22419 issued to Northern <br />States Power in the amount of $20,294.70 for the University <br />Grove Street Lighting Project, and the Adoption of Resolution <br />R-89-16 indicating the intention of financing the project <br />through the sale of debt. P. Chenoweth moved adoption of the <br />Resolution which carried unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION R-89-16 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING CHECK NO. 22419 IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$20,294.70, TO NORTHEN STATES POWER FOR INSTALLATION OF <br />EIGHT STREET LIGHTS IN UNIVERSITY GROVE AREA <br />1 <br />AMENDMENT OF CITY COMPENSATION PLAN TO INCLUDE CITY PLANNER <br />POSITION <br />Council approved amendment of the Compensation Plan to include <br />the new part-time planner position. <br />SUSAN HOYT-TAFF APPOINTED PART-TIME PLANNER <br />Wiessner informed Council that the Interview Committee had <br />interviewed four excellent candidates for the planner position <br />and that Susan Hoyt-Taff has been selected for the appointment. <br />Ciernia then moved the appointment of Susan Hoyt-Taff as <br />part-time Planner, Range 2, Step 1, ($1,980/month), pro-rated on <br />an hourly rate of $11,42/hour. Motion carried unanimously. Ms. <br />Hoyt-Taff was in attendance and gave a brief resume of her <br />background . <br />
