Chenoweth moved adoption of Resolution R-89-17, accepting the <br />study and setting the improvement hearing for 7:15 P. M., <br />September 13, 1989. Motion carried unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION R-89-17 <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE ENGINEER'S FEASIBILITY STUDY <br />ON THE PROPOSED HAMLINE AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS, LARPENTEUR TO <br />ROSELAWN AVENUES, AND SETTING THE LOCAL IMPROVEMENT HEARING <br />FOR THE PROJECT <br />COUNCIL WORKSHOP ON ASSESSMENT POLICY SCHEDULED FOR 8/9/87 <br />FOLLOWING COUNCIL MEETING <br />Council scheduled a workshop to discuss the latest draft of the <br />proposed assessment policy for August 9, 1989 immediately <br />following the regular Council Meeting. <br />ESTABLISHMENT OF REIMBURSEMENT POLICY FOR TATUM SOD REPLACEMENT <br />Baldwin explained that replacement of the bad sod on Tatum <br />Street has been completed. Council discussed the fact that <br />several residents had replaced the sod on the boulevards in <br />front of their residences prior to the City project and are now <br />requesting reimbursement. Following a brief discussion, Wallin <br />moved that these residents be reimbursed in the amount of either <br />the average cost to the City, or the resident's cost, whichever <br />is less. Motion carried unanimously. <br />APPROVAL OF UNITED WAY CAMPAIGN INCENTIVE FOR CITY EMPLOYEES <br />Wiessner explained that all cities in the St. Paul Area United <br />Way are participating in the Pacesetter Campaign and requested <br />that Council authorize one paid vacation day for a drawing as an <br />incentive for City employees. Ciernia moved approval of the <br />request which carried unanimously. <br />WORKSHOP ON PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT OF SE CORNER OF LARPENTEUR AND <br />SNELLING SCHEDULED FOR 8/9/89. <br />Baldwin explained that a developer has expressed interest in <br />redeveloping the southeast corner of Larpenteur and Snelling and <br />had requested a workshop with the City Council, Planning <br />Commission and affected property owners. Council agreed to <br />scheduling the workshop for August 9, 1989 from 6:00 to 7:00 <br />P. M. <br />ADJOURNEMENT <br />The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 P.
