Shavor, Trustee <br />Arthur A. Lindig, Trustee <br />John R. Rysgaard, Trustee <br />Clyde J. Stewart, Clerk <br />Ralph Van Hoven, Treasurer <br />Frank N. Graham, Attorney <br />Before entering upon their duties, each village officer executed his oath of office <br />and qualified for his respective office according to law. <br />The meeting was then called to order by President Matteson at 9:40 p.m. <br />Shavor appointed <br />President pro tem <br />Treasurer+s bond set <br />,:,M~ ~kn amount of X10, 000 <br />~.~ <br />`t~. <br />First matter considered was appointment of a President <br />pro tem of the council. President Matteson called for <br />nominations. Lindig nominated George Shavor. There <br />being no further nominations, Rysgaard movea~ seconded by <br />Lindig, that the clerk cast a unanimous ballot for George <br />Shavor for the office of President pro tem. Motion carried. <br />and after the clerk had stated casting said ballot, President <br />Matteson declared Shavor duly appointed to the office of <br />President pro tem of the council. <br />Setting amount of the treasurer+s bond was then discussed. <br />Shavor moved that the treasurer+s bond be set in the amount <br />of ~10~000 and that he be asked to secure such bond for the <br />peaiod, April 13, 1949 to the first secular day of January, <br />1950. Lindig seconded and motion carried. <br />Clerk+s bond set at Amount of clerk+s bond~~a.s considered. Rysgaard moved, <br />X500 seconded by Lindig, that clerk+s bend be fixed at X500 and <br />that he be instructed to secure bond in this amount. Motion <br />carried. '' <br />Justice of the Peace Shavor moved that each Justice of the Peace secure a bond in <br />and Constable bonds the amount of X500 and each Constable in the amount of X250. <br />Seconded by Rysgaard and carried. <br />Clerk authorized to $ysgaard moved, seconded by Lindig, that-the clerk be author- <br />secure necessary books, ized to secure the necessary books, stationery, and supplies. <br />stationery and supplies. Motion carried. <br />Posting places Lindig moved that three posting places be as follows: <br />designated. (1) Blomberg+s Store, Iowa and Hamline Avenues <br />(2) National 'Tea More, Larpenteur and Snelling Avenues <br />(3) Gibbs School,'Cleveland and Larpenteur Avenues. <br />Shavor seconded and motion carried. <br />~'~ection hours to be Lindig moved, seconded by Shavor, that the polls at village <br />P.M. to 8:00 p•M. elections be kept open from 4;00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />
