<br />SPECIAL MEETING, THURSDAY, APRIL 28, 19t~9 <br />Present: <br />George J. Shavor, President pro tem <br />Arthur A. Lindig, Trustee <br />John R. Rysgaard, Trustee <br />Clyde J. Steaa~t, Clerk <br />Ralph Van Hoven, Treasurer <br />Absent: Lynn Matteson, President <br />Ideating called to order at 8:35 p.m. <br />It was voted to dispense with reading of the minutes. <br />Village and The Fire Protection committee presented the revised plans of t:~,: <br />Fire station the village hall and fire station. The <br />proposed ordinance was read and discussed section by sec-. <br />tion, corrections and additions being made as requested by <br />the council. <br />George E. Swanson On recommendation of the Fire Protection committee, <br />appointed Fire Chief Lindig moved, seconded by Stewart, the appointment of <br />George E• Swanson as Fire Chief, effective May 1, 19l~9, <br />at a salary of X250 per month, plus an allowance for the <br />use of his car of X50 per monthr.with the understanding <br />that X50 per month rental charge will be deducted when he <br />occupies residential quarters in the fire station when <br />available. Motion carried. <br />Standby Fire Department Lindig moved, seconded by Rysgaard, that actions of the <br />agreement between President and the Clerk in signing the new standby fire <br />St. Paul and pillage of department agreement with the City of St. Paul be and the <br />Falcon Heights same hereby is approved.
