Rysgaard, Trustee <br />Clyde ~ Stewart, Clerk <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m. by President Matteson. Due to the Clerk's <br />inability to attend the meeting, Eleanor Reichow recorded the minutes. <br />Ralph E. Zenor permit Ralph ?-nor is building a home at 1452 W. Larpenteur. It is <br />to live in garage necessary that he move from hie present home by Junc 15. He <br />asked the council if he could have a permit to move into the <br />garage at the Larpenteur Avenue address and live there for a <br />period of from 4 to 6 weeks until his home is completed. The <br />water and sanitary system will be installed prior to June 15. <br />Matteson advised Z-nor the council would take the matter under <br />advisement and let him know by its next meeting, May 24. <br />Meeting with O'Hearn Harry Anderson reported that he and Matteson have an appointment <br /> with O'Hearn, T?. of Minn. real estate manager on Monday morning <br /> at 10:00 a.m. to discuss terms and conditions relative to leasing <br /> the proposed plat of land next to the Farmers G'nion Grain Termin- <br /> al garage for thr construction of the village hall and fire sta- <br />.. tion. They will make a report of *.his conference on May 24. It <br /> was thought it might be advisable to have Mr. Middlebrook attend <br />the council meeting on the 24th and Lindig agreed to invite him. <br />Imhoff for assistant Harry Anderson introduced Mr. Imhoff to the council. It was. the <br />fire chief. recommendation of f?arry Anderson and George Swanson that Imhoff <br /> be appointed assistant chief effective July 1 at a salary of X200 <br /> per month. The council agreed to act on the recommendation on <br /> May 24. <br />Relief Association Harry Anderson brought up the matter of the division of the re= <br />division of funds. lief association funds of the present fire department. At the <br /> present time the fund is rather small (about X90) but the levy <br /> rCCC1VCd this summer and also next summer ahoul.d be included. <br /> 3havor raised the question of whether or no+,, after the separa- <br /> tion is completed, WC would have to take out a charter for this <br /> firemen relief association. xraham was asked to obtain an opin- <br /> ion from the Attorney General. <br />Firemen ^ntertainment Harry Anderson also bm ugrt up the matter of a diviai.on of the <br />funds funds raised by the firemen giving carnivals and dances. It was <br /> felt that tY~is division should perhaps be on a pro rata basis <br /> according; to the number of men. Harry Anderson is to take the <br /> matter ~_ir, at the time of the apprai gal of the present fire de- <br /> partment. The appraisal is to be made by Harry Anderson from <br /> Falcon Heights, Eiler from Lauderdale, H.,rry Carlson from Rose- <br /> ville, and a fourth person to be appointed by the three named. <br />Request for rezoning Steffnitz asked the council to re-zone to resident B that por- <br />by Steffnitz of land on the west side of Arona from California to a point <br /> about 150 feat south to permit him to build two 6-family row <br /> houses with provisions fo r a parking space and playground area, <br /> and to re-zone to business that portion of land on the west side <br /> of Arona from California to a point about 150 Peet north to per- <br /> mit him to erect a California style building to be used as office <br />
