It was thought that the trees on the boulevards might <br /> well be trimmed by the Village and the individual property <br /> assessed. <br />Fire Appraisal Harry Anderson reported that the appraisers of the fire equipment <br /> had met and had arrived at a tentative figure of X22,256.38. <br /> Our share, 41~, would amount tv X9,125.12. <br />Lauderdale Fire Fro- ~ Harry Anderson also reported that he had talked to Bronkala, <br />tection Mayor of Lauderdale, regarding possible fire protection for <br /> Lauderdale. It was Anderson+s recommendation that the Village <br /> Council write a letter to Lauderdale Council setting forth the <br /> terms under which Falcon Heights would be agreeable to furnishing <br /> fire protection to Lauderdale. A motion was made by Shavor and <br /> seconded by ~,indig that the following resolution be adopted: <br /> $ffiOLVED, that the Mayor of Falcon Heights be and he hereby is <br /> instructed to write a letter to the Mayor of Lauderdale advising <br /> him that the Village of Falcon Heights Fire Department would sup- <br /> ply standby service to the Village of Lauderdale from July 1~ 1949 <br /> to June 30, 1950 for X75 a month, plus a charge for fire runs of <br /> X75 for the first hour and X50 for each additional hour, such <br /> amounts to be charged against the interest of the Village of <br /> Lauderdale in the split of the fire department equipment, with <br /> monthly statements to be submitted to the Village of Lauderdale <br /> by the Village of Falcon Heights, and the Fire Chief to have the <br /> same duties of fire inspection with respect to the Village of <br /> Lauderdale buildings as he has with respect to buildings in the <br /> Village of Falcon Heights under the Fire Department Ordinance #1. <br /> Motion carried. <br />Semi-monthly salary Upon recommendation of Harry Anderson, Lindig moved, seconded by <br />for Fire Chief and Asst. Shavor, that the Fire Chief and the Assistant Fire Chief be paid <br /> on a semimonthly basis. Motion carried. The motion <br /> was seconded by Lindig and carried. <br /> ~F <br />Licenses in Fair Frank Graham was asked to obtain an opinion regarding the legality <br />Grounds of the Village issuing beer and cigarette licenses to the Fair <br /> Grounds . w ;-~ <br />Rejection of Electric Lindig moved the adoption of the following resolution: RESOLVED <br />Bids. that the bids received covering the electric work for the proposed <br /> Village Hall and Fire Station be rejected and that the Clerk be <br /> and he hereby is directed to notify the bidders of this action. <br /> Motion seconded by Shavor and carried. <br />
