Rysgaard <br />y Ralph Van Hoven <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Matteson at 7;45 p. m. <br />Minutes of the regular meeting of Tuesday, September 13, and <br />the meeting of Sg:ptember 27 were read and approved. <br />Culverts Art Lindig reported upon recommendation of <br />County Engineer and Stan Seaborn, Street <br />Commissioner, that he had decided not to <br />replace the 18" culverts on Idaho near <br />Snelling Drive at this time . <br />~Yi lson Property Mayor Matteson re ad a letter re ce ive d from <br />Mr. Graham, dated September 26, 1949, giving his <br />opinion on the proposed property to be pur- <br />chased from Roland K.tJilson, and moved that <br />Attorney Graham draw up re lease to be e~de - <br />cuted by the ;Nilsons. Seconded Lindig. <br />Motion carried. <br />Contract Fire Mr• Anderson reported that the Village of <br />Protection feud- ?~.uderdale had executed the proposed Fire <br />erdale Protection Contract, effective September <br />1; 1949, calling for standby payments of <br />X50.00 per month and payments of ~?5.00 <br />per first hour, and X50.00 for each suc- <br />ceeding additional hour or fraction there- <br />of on each run. After discussion Lindig <br />moved the adoption of the follo~ving reso- <br />lution: "Resolved: That the Mayor and <br />Deputy Clerk be and hereby are authorized <br />to execute on behalf of the Village of <br />Falcon Heights the contract for Fire pro- <br />tection .vith the Village of ~uderdale <br />submitted at this meeting. seconded Shavor. <br />Motion carried. Matteson moved Deputy Glerk <br />be instructed at the time of returning <br />copy of Fire Protection Contract to the <br />Village of Lauderdale to inform the Village <br />of Lauderdale of the mutual understanding <br />providing in case any area within the Village <br />of Lauderdale is Classified as Class 8 <br />the Fire Contract shall be subject to re- <br />negotiation for an increase in the standby <br />charge • Se conded Shavor • Motion carried. <br />Bids on Hose The following bids ~rere opened and are as <br />Dryer and Siren follows; <br />
