As to the Underwriters <br /> requirement for one additional full-time fireman in the Fire <br /> Department, Anderson furnished figures on number and salaries <br /> of paid personnel in nearby Village fire departments, especially <br /> North St Paul, Columbia Heights and West St Paul. Said he thinks <br />Paid we can stay within our budget by putting on a third man with <br />personnel monthly salaries for paid personnel as follows: Fire Chief, <br /> X300.00; Assistant Fire Chief, $250.00; and the third man, X225.00. <br /> With a X10,000.00 budget set up this year for Fire maintenance, <br /> plus about X1,200.00 per year from Lauderdale Por standby and <br /> estimated fire ruri charges, Anderson said we should break about <br /> even. Since Lauderdale also stands to benefit by receiving a <br />Lauderdale Class 9 rating thru our meeting the Underwriters requirements, <br />standby Anderson recommended that consideration be given to increasing <br />"charge. their present X50.00 per month standby charge. In connection with <br /> specified light plant of 1,500 watts capacity, Anderson Trill talk <br /> with Underwriters to see if they will agree to our installing a <br /> 1,000 watt capacity light plant instead. Said the 1,000-watt <br />Light plant capacity plant would furnish light for the build ing if outside <br />requirement. sources are cut off and that he considers it ample for our. needs. <br /> Ande rson also said n 1000-watt plant could be installed for less <br /> than X400.00. Henry presented each member with a copy of the Resolution Establish- <br />ing Planning Commission .adopted at the April 25 meeting.
